Do they ever charge at end of stay on mail offer comp/not enough play?

Sorry for the long message title. And, yes, I KNOW this has been discussed in the past, but I think it has been a couple of years. I just saw some posts on the CET hotels part of the boards. It seems that at end of stay hosts are only comping some of the nights for people who always received all nights free before. I know that host comps are discretionary but if you receive a free offer in the mail, can they change those terms after you check in? In the past, most posters said that you wouldn't get charged but offers would be reduced or stop completely.

I was in at Christmas with free nights at Caesars and caught a bug so didn't play very much but I am still getting free night Caesar offers clear through Spring. I have three free nights there in 2 weeks. I wasn't worried until I saw those other posts.

I am more concerned about Aria, because I booked my other free nights there when I received a mailer yesterday. I have never played there and in the past have only received a couple of free night weekday offers from Bellagio. Today I got a new Bellagio with the generous offer of $99 weekday rooms. So I get three free nights, Elvis tix, and $100 free play at Aria and I'm worried they will try to charge me at checkout. Believe me, they will be losing money on me on this deal. I may be washing dishes at the buffet to pay off my bill.
I have never been charged at any MGM property for short play when I had an upfront offer.
I short played Aria last June and my suite was still comped.

Last year I got a couple offers ,can't remember if it was CET or MGM, that said "offer based on x hours of daily play"It also said they had the option of revoking the offer if you did not play.
If your offer does not say that you should be ok.

I really like Aria and hope you enjoy it.
Agree with JMDV, you should be fine.

"So I get three free nights, Elvis tix, and $100 free play at Aria and I'm worried they will try to charge me at checkout"

I get the same offer at Aria, and really don't think you have the fine print bs in this offer.

I've never had a prob at CE props either.

The Only prop I worry about is Ven/Pal, because of their "historical level of play" BS in EVERY offer.
Thats the one I wonder if anyone gets bit in the butt if they don't play..........

Other than Ven/Pal, it seems Other Co's upfront comp offers.........youre safe.
As many times as this has been discussed, nobody has reported being dinged at checkout for not playing per their "historical level."

Read the fine print. I have an offer (MGM property) for free nights, free play, and food, but also the promise of being entered in a Bonus Drawing AT THE END OF THE PROMOTION to win prize money to spend in their shops. The offer goes from March through June 30, so the drawing is held AFTER that. What the FINE PRINT says is that I will NOT be eligible for the Bonus Drawing for the shopping money IF I don't play at my 'hysterical' level during this promo. I'll get the nights, free play, and food, but might NOT make the cut for the drawing. Fine with me. I don't care about that anyway. If I did, I'd have to re-think the offer.

Just another example of what may be in the fine print.

Candy, does it really say 'hysterical' level ?

If so, thats hysterical.
No, CLV, it didn't actually say "hysterical level" on the offer.
However...I believe I would have to get hysterical on 'em if they tried to ding me at checkout for a comp. LOL

Thats what I figured.
Sounds like something I would have said.

I'd also be curious If anyone EVER got hassled upon check-out or rec'd a charge on their bill
later because of Lack of play?

Hopefully, were worried for nothing? But I wish they didn't put that Fine print in there to begin with!

Fine, pull Future comp offers IF we don't play..........but don't try to scare customers with charging
them at check-out for lack of play. Thats just wrong.

Well, this is off-subject but..

Every time I stay at Aria ( I had to cancel them this month) they screw up my bill.

Always check your bill several times a day
on your TV. LOL

Last time I was there they had a charges of:

$85 bar bill at "The View Bar" wherever that is.
$4.50 about 9 times charged to my in-room fridge. One of them was correct.

Anyway, I called them and the lady said, "We
will investigate it and let you know." LOL

I then said, "Hey, investigate it NOW and I will stay on the phone."

She asked her supervisor and took the $85 off
and later when I called again the 8 times $4.50.

This stuff seems to happen every time I stay at Aria.

However, they did comp everything at check-out time anyway so they are good otherwise.

I notice some places don't comp pay-per-view
movies in your room.

Aria is one that does.

I'll try once again to stay there soon.
I wonder if these casinos like people constantly canceling on them?

MGM may not charge you at the end of your stay, but they will take away your available comps. Done that to me twice. Won't stay with them anymore.
I thought my comps were taken away, 2 trips ago, but was a website glitch & returned.

Was at Aria again, last week, didn't play as much, but everything went Fine, and they didn't touch my Exp. comps,
and I wasn't charged for anything either.
I'm taking this as a good sign, as long as future comp offers continue to appear.
