Drink comps at the Wynn?

I had heard the Wynn was not comping video poker players at their bars? Has anyone played vp at the bar recently and had drinks comped? If so what level were you playing at? I usually play .50 to $1 vp.
I stayed at the Wynn twice and Encore once. Most recently 6 months ago.Never got a drink comped at any bar.
I was playing $1 VP several times
Maybe the poicy has changed.
No free drinks at Wynn bars. Horrible games below $5 there, play somewhere else.
Played video poker at their eastside bar, adjacent to the Encore lounge last week. Played for about an hour while waiting for someone; no comped drinks. Had a Rob Roy which cost me $12. Nice bartender, used Johnny Walker Red to make the drink...tasted okay, but would have been better if it had been comped. The up side is I played for an hour and walked away even. Used my player's card in the machine, but now I wonder if my play was 'tracked' while at the bar.

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......

Spring Break 2000 !!

Why would you wonder if your play was tracked? The slot club doesn't care whether you gambled at the bar or at a different machine. In fact, you're probably worth more to the casino because you gambled at a machine where you couldn't get a comped drink.
I wonder because the part of the machine where the player's card is inserted looks different than the ones on the casino floor. The light surrounding the slot went from red to amber, but there was no screen that scrolled a "welcome Larry, yada, yada, yada".
Did you watch the meter at all while you were playing? This will tell you whether or not your points are being counted. I do this at any machine I play to be sure it's working.

Good Luck!

There was no meter or screen display. The only way I knew that my players card had been accepted was when the lighting around the slot where you insert the card turned from red to amber color.
That's weird, even the most basic slot readers usually at least say 'accepted' or something similar.
It seems this to be quite a cheapskate policy. Or do they think if you are there (at the Wynn) you do not need comped drinks?
