el cortez 5 x points offer: Does 9/6 job there earn .2% CB?

In an unrelated matter, I managed to not hit 'enter' upon titling this thread. I have a buncha freeplay and rebate dough in my april trip, so I wont feel oppressed if this wont go my way. I checked vpfree2 about el cortez's JOB inventory, and while I dont think everything in the site is now there, i did play a version, not gameking, in january. Vpfree comments on jackies club states 100% and up games only earn one point for every 3 USD coin-in. So, if any experience with el cortez and full pay JOB is out there, I'm hoping to learn whether cashback of .2% times 5 x points on my mailing is as good as it sounds. Good Luck!
It is, the 100% games are all gone (well a few DB machines might exist).
Thanks! I'm not usually a points hound, however, I've gotten spoiled about getting a comped prime rib at flame every few months. 5x with my mailer is coming in april. And, Good Luck!
When did 9/6 JoB re-appear at the El Co? I haven't seen it there in years.

right at the bar entrance is a spin poker/mulitispike/some kinda fancy pants deal that will, if you wanna play slow, let you bet five 25c per hand and pays 9/6. Now, having done this, i suppose some suit to swoop down and move it out, like the sf paying 450 25c at binions lasted about nothing after i posted that sweetheart. But, last month, on my way in to the flame, it was still sitting there, the opposite side of the bar from the flame. Good luck!
Interesting. I know exactly which machine you're talking about -- right next to the little staircase that leads from the poker room area up to the piano bar.

I never would have thought to look at the JoB paytable on that game. Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck getting a seat that that machine. There is usually a little old local wheeled up to it playing for hours on end. I have been told by one of these locals one day-- to get off their machine. They get it from x hour to y hour every day. A security guard had to tell them that anyone can play an open machine and that she wasn't even in the building when I started playing it. Wow--did that make her mad. the floor manager had to come over to calm her down. He said he would come and get her when I left the machine. After she left he aplogized for her behavior and told me to stay and play as long as I wanted to.
too funny! I dont interact a lot with the downtown toothless segment. Dawn blackjack at the western is my claim to fame in that department. But I will make sure if I'm going for points that it's way off the time frame a local will show to grind that machine. Thanks for the info, and Good Luck!
JM: Last time I was at the Western, the BJ was 6:5. I do remember the old $2 SD game, where the red-chip player was the high roller, and you could always tell the king of diamonds by the torn corner.

As for JoB at the El, all I know about is two, or maybe three multistrike machines near the bar and the poker room; they have 9/6 JoB at denoms of ten cents or more, and you can just play one line. One of them is a STP machine, which I don't bother with. I'm pretty sure that there's no other 9/6 JoB in the joint; hasn't been for a few years.

I'm told that the EV for multistrike is maybe 0.1% or so higher than for the base JoB game, although it's a whole lot more volatile (fun, though).

For what it's worth, knagl has always said that the comps are easy if you play 8/5 BP (which is a 99/17% game). Multiple points would make it plenty playable.

Whatever you do with Dime Multistrike, DO NOT PLAY ONE LINE ONLY! Play at least two lines.

If you play one line only, the Royal Flush pays 1,250 coins with all five coins inserted (I found this when I carefully checked out the payschedule). The Royal Flush pay was 4,000 coins (for a five-coin insertion) at 2, 3 or 4 lines.
