el cortez 5 x points offer: Does 9/6 job there earn .2% CB?

Thanks, Rec, I hadn't noticed that.

Even with two lines, you will need to modify your strategy for the first line, since it's so important to get to the second, 2x pay line. For example, you'll hold two high cards over a low pair. Tricky game.
Hey Jon,

I didn't know that you would still need to make strategy changes for that game playing two lines only.

I do know that it does at times give Free Rides to the second line. And I haven't done that bad with using normal strategy.

So what would the changes be?

The basic idea behind multistrike strategy is that there's more value in getting to the higher line; thus you sacrifice EV of your hand to increase the likelihood of getting to a higher line. So for example, in MS JoB, you'll hold two unsuited high cards on the first line instead of a low pair; the idea is that even though the EV is a lot lower, you're more likely to turn two high cards into a high pair (thus getting to the next line) than to turn a low pair into two pair or trips or a quad. You play basic JoB strategy on the highest line that you're going to play (usually line 4, but you would on line 2 if you're only playing two lines), or if you get a free ride, since there's no value in trying to get to the next line.

You can find Michael Shackleford's strategy at: https://wizardofodds.com/multistrike/appendix2.html

thanks for all the help. dime multistrike is not my usual game, but if I get 5x points with my ACG coupon stay, i can see grinding that for a change. Good Luck!

Have fun with it, JM. Multistrike really is a fun game and can be pretty addictive. I've never played it enough to justify really memorizing the strategy, but I carry a card with the basic strategy on it. The EV is 99.79%, but it's really volatile.
Thanks, Jon, for the link to the MS strategy for increasing the players chances for getting from Line 1 to Line 2.

I wrote it all out and I'll take it with me for my hopeful trip next week!
