El Cortez food and beverage credit

Going through offers for my January trip, and I have a $25 food and beverage credit at EC. Anyone know the particulars for how to redeem? (do I need to stop by club cortez ahead of time and get a voucher, show my club card at the table when the bill arrives, or what?)

I know we have some EC regulars here, so thanks in advance if you can help me out. (I won't be staying in the hotel, so a room charge won't work).

In the past when we had food credit-you just put the food on your room and then it will be deducted from your bill when you check out. You will then only owe if you went over the $25. You will need to show your ID, players card and room key when you charge to your room.

How did you get this credit? Was it part of something else? Or was it a stand alone offer.?

It was in my quarterly offers that I get via postal/email, along with $25 slot play, point multiplier, etc. There was a room offer as well, but I assume they are all independent (for example, I've used the free play before without using the room offer). I won't be staying on property, so I can't do a room charge.

In the past we had to have a room booked to use our food offer. We could use the free play but not food with out the room. I would check with the desk before counting on the fact I could use the food credit.

I've always had to charge it to the room, so if you're not staying there, I doubt you'd be able to use it.

If you really want to use this food credit, then book the comped room offer even if you don't need the room. Then you'll be able to charge the meal to the room.

That's what I did during my most recent trip. For a $75 food/beverage offer, it was worth it, especially if I am on the property anyway. I just checked out remotely the next day.

You got a $75 credit? What sort of play are you giving them? I tend to think I'm pretty high up on their totem pole, but the last I got was 3 free nights and $25 each in food and slot play.

I am pretty bad dead eye about keeping track of my play but I am planning to do it this time. I guess one play a few trips ago wasn't that great because my January through March offer was 50 in FSP, 40 in RFB, 3 comped nights (regular or cabana suites) and 5x points for one day. My December play -- lot of vp and some slots -- must have been better in El Cortez's eyes because my April through June offer is 75 FSP, 75 in RFB, 5x points and 3 nights. I believe that's the best offer one can receive. I am going to be able to use both offers in my upcoming March/April trip.
