Favorite casual meal downtown

I just finished reading about the denise of McD's downtown and I was commenting in another thread about Binion's licker-up.  I thought I would share a few of my downtown favorite palces for casual meal and I hope some readers will share their favs as well.  I am looking mostly for value here.

My current favorite downtown is the brisket meal at Benn'y Smokin' BBQ in Binion's.

The Grill at Golden Nugget has an item or two on which I can use my poker room comps.

For a quick hit to tide me over till dinner, I like the advertised "meal" special at Steak n' Shake in the Fremont.

Downtown is pretty much a food value wasteland these days--it used to be terrific in that regard. Everything is shockingly expensive now, and not even of all that great quality. The only thing to do is deploy couponomy. In that respect, I'll gladly eat at Magnolia's with a half price coupon, which is easy to get if you're staying there, it's your birthday month, you have an LVA coupon, etc. Otherwise...I find myself jumping in the car and leaving downtown altogether to eat.

Yes Magnolias pretty good any time.

Thanks for the info on Benny's.  We usually try to get out of downtown before rush hour, and Benny's doesn't open until 4 I think.  The 8 east noodle at Circa has a good happy hour menu for food, and we usually have a few comps.  Hard to beat the coupons in LVA at Binions , 4 Queens, and El Cortez

El Cortez Siegel's 19.95 Prime Rib has been pretty good.  $8 slice and beer at Evel Pie is a deal, though I generally upgrade the slice.  But for a sit down lunch or dinner, you're generally going to pay $20+ without a LVA 2 for 1.

Victory Burger at Circa is quite good, but you're looking at $14-20 without fries but at 1/2lb and loaded, the burger is quite a meal in itself and sitting overlooking the massive sports book is a nice lunch.

If you have a car or want to gauntlet walk zombies to Fremont and Maryland I suggest you don't miss PublicUs for breakfast.  They have some really great food and pastries.

Emerald Island immense cheeseburger fries and drink $10.95. With half off coupon that you can get by belonging to the players club $5.50. Makes it hard for me to stay downtown and pay $19 for the same meal.

Hard to beat the Market Street Cafe at California.     Its not as cheap as it used to be - but its not marked up to the ripoff prices most of Vegas has followed.     Butterfish and Prime Rib deals are still a great value.    Love the atmosphere in there too.

My favorite by far is Aloha Specialties at the Cal, real Hawaiian food.  Agree with PJ, Market Street isn't great, but about as good a coffee shop as you'll find downtown.  Now, if you venture a couple of miles north, the coffee shop at Jerry's Nugget is terrific.  Another good option about 1/2 mile north of MSS is the Salvadoreño restaurant.  For something a little more expensive, Saginaw Deli at Circa isn't bad and I do like 8 East.  I wasn't that impressed with Victory Burger; agree that it's a fun place, but the food was kind of ordinary sports bar quality, nothing great.

Good choice on Aloha Specialties.  I usually make it there at least a couple of times per year.

Our favorite is Le Thai on East Fremont - top notch food with decent prices and a great staff. Also, you can use your Club One points there.
