My host made a 1 nite rm. comp resv. for me. I don't plan on gambling much that day. If I don't use my slot card while gambling will marketing know I was there and lower my average coin in?

Do you mean they won't know I'm there if I don't use my card? I could of used a mailing offer and had free slot play and food book. But I thought making resv. myself and using offer code would put on their radar even not using card.
If a host makes the reservation for you, I'm pretty sure they can tell if you check into the hotel and see your play. Either way, you probably will be on their radar.
If I didn't plan to play or planned to play less than my average, I'd book a mailed offer over asking a host to book a comped room for me. To me, booking a mailed offer is less personal.
Really, you just never know. One night, I woudn't think that would rock anyone's boat if you've been a regular at decent play...that is, unless a magnificant suite, meals, hard to get tickets, etc. are involved.
Now and then I drop into a CET place and play just a few bills to keep my points alive. My offers haven't dropped.
