GVR has several areas that have the optimum machines.

I think the ones with the glare, are in the non-smoking section.

Hike around a little bit, and you'll find quite a few more - though some are DDB only.

There's a lot, near the entrance at the Paseo Verde parking garage.

The optimums I've always seen are by the food court, near self parking doors, where

Have to say it's mostly the addition of slow uprights with sticky keys and bad screen glare. Also, us commoners apparently don't get to use the spa-my room key wouldn't work, and after making a long trek across hard tile in my house shoes.

That doesnt sound good. Did u speak to someone about your key or were you told that u didnt have free access to the spa? Gvr is one of main favorite and I had planned on being there in August! The spa is always a must do for me!

When I checked in I let it be known that I highly valued the spa and mentioned needing a VIP card at Red Rock to get free use when room is comped. Clerk at check in assured me that was not the case at GVR. No, I was just there for 1 night and did not go beg to be allowed in. But I will consider it a no-spa property in my planning. Probably favor Santa Fe Station over it now, when Red Rock is unavailable.

100 percent machines are located in front of entrance to 215 garage, near Paseo garage, in non-smoking area, next to Drop Bar and next to newly-reopened Cafe. IMO, the VP at GVR is better than at RR but I just love the rooms at RR. Of course, points are earned slowly at both properties on perfects so the 99 percent machines are a great addition and I believe GVR has more banks of them.

I play $ & .50 DDB and almost all of the machines at RR are FP...significantly better than GVR (and they are all slant tops too).

We are splitting hairs on DDB. FP DDB is 98.98%, thats close enough to 99% to count! RR is still tops in my book in DDB, especially with their slant tops.
