Thanks for the useful info and associated effort to compile it.
Thanks Mark.
I'm going to add the Fremont Eats info to the PowerPoint that I send to my group of 18 prior to October's trip.
Charles Thanks
Boiler, when you stay downtown do you ever go to the strip or do you stay in the downtown area most of the time.
How about the hot dogs at Southpoint?
I get free breakfasts at most Hilton & Marriott hotels. Embassy Suites is cooked to order. I frequently use my points to stay for free.
I find the MyVegas to be a lot of effort & the value not worth my time. (several hours to get a free buffet)
We usually stay downtown, but make an occasional visit to Harrah's Carnival Court
Cheap food is extremely easy to find on the Strip. Just go two miles east or west. (Going north or South, you'll still be on the Strip.)
Since you have to leave the Strip to find halfway decent gambling anyway, you can combine such an excursion with a trip to, say, the many, many food options offered by Chinatown.
I see that my Vegas is always sold out for food rewards Do you know if they are updated and when they put in new ones Planning early Nov trip thanks
Tom, Southpoint has some great deals, but I left those off the list because I tried to limit this list to things that are walkable from the strip. If you have to Uber or take a taxi to get to Southpoint you have to add the cost of the transportation to the cost of the food.
Kevin, yes you can get deals off the strip but lots of folks don't have rental cars and by the time you add the rideshare fees or taxi fees, you usually spend just as much or even a bit more.
Maureen, they reset the offers usually once a day. I had the most luck when I periodically check them from 7 AM to 11 AM eastern when I am looking to add them to my wallet. The only one I wanted that I couldn’t get was on my list trip. I couldn’t catch the 9 Fine Irishmen deal before it sold out. I suspect that it is because it is the one worth the most money.
I also find major holidays are also a great time to look because there arent as many people online.
Thanks mark, this opens up my thinking on morning breakfast. Why spend $$$$ at the expensive Restraunt's, when you don't have to. That dirt dog was also reviewed by travel ruby. Looks like a good place.
