I have 1000 tier points. If I do diamond in a day I will have 4000 points. My question is will I have Diamond status until March 31 2012 and retain Platinum status until March 31 2013? Please advise.

I thought Diamond required 11,000 or more (I'm not sure what it is now). I think 3,000 gets you Platinum status.

Your status from 3/31/12 until 3/31/13 depends on how many points you earn in calendar 2011.

Thanks for your responses. I believe it takes 3000 tier points for diamond in a day and 2000 points for platinum in a day. It takes 11000 points for diamond and 4000 points for platinum through the year until December 31 when tier points are wiped out and you must start again in the new year. To phrase my question differently, if I get 4000 tier points in one day am I good for diamond until the following March 31 AND good for platinum until March 31 of the year after that?

If you reach 11k anytime after Jan 1st - you have reached the required level for NEXT year. And, you also get it for all the current year. And, by the way, it does not expire on Dec 31 but carries over until March of the following year.

Example.

A) Jan 30, 2011 - you reach 11,000 You are Diamond for the remainder of 2011, all of 2012, and until March of 2013 (originally typed 2012)
B) Dec 15, 2011, you reach 11,000 exact same as the person in example A
C) Dec 31, 2011, you reach 11,000 exact same as the two people above

Diamond in a Day only carries over if you do it in December.

Did you mean to say until March of 2013?? (rather than 2012?) I made Diamond by getting more than 11k points last month. I was curious as well if my Diamond status expires in March of NEXT year (2012) verses the FOLLOWING year (2013).

I am somewhat confused by the responses here.

I did diamond in a day in June this year. It required 3000 points. My diamond card has an expiry date of "03/2012". I hope that means March 31, 2012.

Why do you think if you got diamond in a day in 2011, you would have extra platinum status until March 2013? Is that some kind of courtesy "gifted tier status" Caesars extends to diamond level players?

I don't understand this comment. I didn't think you could start earning towards your 2012 status until 2012. I know sometimes they start the earning period in December. If you earned diamond status in 2011, aren't you just diamond until March 2012?
