Have you ever had a "free slot match play"?

Just returned from a A. C. trip ( from Buffalo). On the way to A. C. I decided to stop at Turning Stone and take advantage of a $100 Free Slot play coupon that was scheduled to expire on1/18.

When I arrived at the promo desk and gave my coup to the desk lady she gave me a red card (that was encoded with my 4 digit number - Turning Stone folks know what I'm talking about).

I began playing on a dollar 9/6/4 double bonus machine. Since it was just gonna be a "hit and Run" I thought that I'd run the $100 thru and hopefully still have that $100.00 left plus some extra.

I got quads once and a couple of other good hands. I got it up to $300.00 after about 30 minutes of play. I figured that I'd go cash out my $300.00. To my surprise when cashing out the cashier told me that they keep the original $100.00 that was downloaded on my card. So I walked away with $200. I couldn't complain but that was a first for me. Free Slot play that played like a Match play.

I'm wondering if anyone else has ever had that experience at a casino??

Hey Champ,

I have not had that kind of experience but the closest to that that I can think of was at an Indian Casino about 140 Miles from me where they said Play $20 through a machine (when I did that I ended up with $6 which I played on a machine called "Organic Blackjack"), then Go Back To The Slot Club booth and then they would load my Slot Club card with $50 in Freeplay which could only be used on certain machines.

The machines that I found that I could use it on (no Video Poker) were pretty bad and so I found some Video Blackjack at a bar and by the time I was done I ended up with $63 and so overall between playing the $20 through and then the Freeplay, I ended up leaving the casino with $43 more than I arrived with, so I was definitely fine with that!

I live about an hour from Turning Stone and visit there 3 or 4 times a month. I get the free play coupons in the mail. They really do suck. I think its the only casino on the planet that does free play that way.
The best "Slot play, match play" that I know of is the one on LVA for the NYC Bar. It's on Spring Mountain about 15 blocks up from the Freeway.

You walk in the bar, you hand the bartender the "Slot play, match play" coupon. You put $20 in a VP machine of your choice and the bartender hands you a $20 bill. I've used it twice- won both times.

That totally sucks. With that in mind, what happens if:

You play through the $100 and are at $20 and then cash out. What do they do with the $20?

Then, if you start playing again, with whatever money you have left...do you get all that back?
