How to keep your Caesars Diamond status forever* without gambling

This would have been a lot more useful for some of you if I posted this in January, but oh well.

Caesars Diamond is very nice just for the no resort fees and the $100 food comp. And if you want to keep it forever* regardless of your gambling habits, here's what you do.

From your Caesars account match it to Wyndham Diamond. When your Wyndham Diamond expires in January, use your Caesars Diamond account again to match to Wyndham Diamond. And when your Caesars Diamond expires in February, use your Wyndham Diamond account to match it back to Caesars Diamond. Rinse, repeat.

*Forever meaning until they change the system, but this has worked for years.

I tried the match again on Feb 1st. Still has not processed.  Tried again around the 10th.  No luck.

And of course "forever" does not exist in the world of matches, loyalty programs, etc.

I did the match (early) on 2/1 and received it I think on the 7th or 8th. They are probably buried.

Matche backlog or system issue seem to have broken free around March 1st as many have been posting success.

Caesars Stopping ‘Unearned’ Status Matches Between Wyndham

For a long time it has been possible to match status between Caesars and Wyndham due to the membership years being different. Caesars has now added the following verbiage to the status match page:

Please Note: You must have earned Tier Status with your current loyalty program in order for your status to be matched.  Caesars Rewards will not grant status to WR members who came into the WR program from a tier match promotion with other programs or who previously had recent Caesars Rewards status that was about to expire, and vice versa.

It looks like this verbiage is being enforced as a number of readers have requested the match and are yet to have received it. Some people also had the $100 celebration dinner credit added to their account and it has now been removed. It’s still a bit unclear if there is a delay on these matches or if this will be enforced for everybody.
