Its raining mail offers

I had the same result when I stayed there in early February. I got a killer room rate with the LVA coupon, but there wasn't much reason to be there otherwise. The food was hilariously expensive--even in the "food court." My only meal there was a happy hour special at the pub thingy: a burger, fries, and a beer for "only" $31!

I played some of the decent video poker...maybe $2000 coin-in. I lost about $40. I thought that might stimulate SOME sort of response from them...if only a mailer saying, "Get your ass back here, PEASANT!" I've received no communication of any kind. I guess I didn't qualify for Pocket Lint level.

That's been my experience too. I suspect it was because I was playing VP. Oh, well if they don't want me, there is no reason for me to go.

That's my attitude as well when it comes to not getting offers from places that I have frequented with some regular play.  Plenty of other spots still sending good offers my way.

Offers are piling up .  Resorts World free nights no resort fees.  Even at the Crockfords, and we are near the bottom tier level.  Booked !

Out of nowhere I just received a free 3 night offer with no resort fee at the Plaza for up to 3 weekday nights and some free play.  I haven't given them action in quite some time.  I realize it is the middle of Summer and hot as hell, but I am still surprised.

They are trying to get you back, JDC.  We've been getting offers from the Plaza, as well as Sahara and Boyd's.  Will be heading to the Westgate the end of June/beginning of July on Comped Room, Free Play and Dining Credits offer.  Gonna be hot!

I am getting mailers from all over the country, places I've never even heard of.  Free nights, free play.

JDC:  I did same thing and received nothing but I logged into our my player account online and found them.  FYI

I was in Vegas a couple of weeks ago and made the trip over to Rio to see what was up.  I had zero email communication from them despite some decent play a couple of months prior.  I swiped my card at the kiosk and my email address was entered WRONG by the boothling.  I had $50 in FP, plus two room offers that included 4 free nights in the older tower.  I have now updated my email address!

Which surprises me, in the sense that you should have already been on everyone's list--because, don't take this the wrong way, but you like carny table games, which usually carry a 2-4% house edge even when played perfectly, and I believe you've said you play slots on occasion, too. So it's more than worth it for them to offer you goodies to entice you--they figure to make it all back, and then some.

Since I play only 99.5%+ VP, don't sit at a 6:5 crapjack table, and wouldn't play slots at gunpoint, I'm not worth it to most of them. If they gave me a couple of free nights, they might lose money. And accordingly, I don't get jack diddly in the mail.

So I wonder...is the kind of player you are, including how much action you give, info that is recorded and shared by the casinos, in some kind of confidential database? I know that when you become "established," your daily worth to the casino is estimated and you receive offers and goodies that amount to about 20% of what you figure to lose. Are those estimates shared, or can a casino in Big Whoopee Wampum Falls buy access to a database?

They are transitioning their system to something supposedly MUCH, much more automated. The immediate effect is that the stupid-ass bot, "Rio Rita," handles ALL calls and ALL requests. You can't talk to the front desk...or the bell desk...or security...or any of the restaurants. You have to check yourself in--the front desk will simply wave you over to the kiosks if you try otherwise.

Oh, and just TRY to get Rio Rita to allow you to talk to a human!

So I'm not at all surprised that the players' club isn't even aware you were there. (Needless to say, you can't talk to them directly, either.)

The joint is cheap, but there's definitely a reason for that.
