LV Advisor Coupon Rejected at Main Street Station

Just got back from an excellent week in LV and environs. One frustrating surprise. When I went to get my LVA 2-4-1 buffet coupon validated at the "B Connected" booth I was told flatly that it would not be honoured. The young woman noticed that I had used a 2-4 coupon at the Fremont and said only one coupon could be used for any/all Boyd properties!(she neglected to notice I had already used a 2-4-1 at Gold Coast too). Any attempt to reason with her was futile. A casino hostess got involved and in a very patronizing way said that she would give me a 'comp equivalent' but she agreed that the coupon wasn't valid for the reason given.

I have used the LVA book almost every year since its inception. Can I expect more of this type of arbitrary rejection when presenting LVA coupons?(no mention was made of management exercising its rights)

Am interested to know if any others have had similar hastles.

Ed.:   Well, it deserves a double "yikes" but I did it accidentally.

They may not care about the 2fer you used at Gold Coast. On my last trip to MSS I was asking a host whether I  could get some or all of my room bill comped and she I assume she could see that I had played some at Orleans and G C and that she couldn't take it into consideration when determining whether to comp anything off. All she cared about was play at MSS, Cal, and Fremont.

I agree about the focus on the "big three". In my (rather lengthy) experience at these three casinos the response you get when asking for 'consideration' depends very much the hostess. I won't name any but two are very fair. My bigger concern here was that it was one of the B Connected frontline folks, not a hostess, that was making the call about the coupon.

This was the first time for me playing at GC. They have some great VP odds even if only on tito machines. Intend to go back

Bummer.   The MSS buffet really isn't good enough to pay full price.   Even with the coupon its largely an underwhelming experience.   

Luckily there's no shortage of buffet bogos in the coupon books.

That was a frontline employee who didn't know what she was talking about. There's not much you (or we) can do when you run into that and it happens from time to time. The use of another Boyd offer in the book does not disqualify use of another.
