LVA Member Rewards Question

Hi... we are heading out next month and I am looking forward to using the member rewards coupons... specifically the gamblings ones. I plan on going downtown and using the D, Golden Gate, Plaza, Fremont and El Cortez matchplay coupons. Does anyone know if it requires a players card to use them or can I just sit down and start playing and use the matchplay at a table game? I assume the slot machines require a card but I am more interested in the table games.

The terms for redemption are spelled on each of the coupon.  Each of the casinos you listed requires club membership.  I assume you have not received your book yet, but you can still check out the terms and conditons beforehand by using the following link:

The book is at my parents condo in Vegas so I couldn't look. I will take a look online. Thank you!

Excellent information,Westie.

You should have a players card, anyway. Go sign up and enjoy the free stuff that you will get!

Plop your card down with your cash and your "2fer". The pit bull will see who you are and OK the coupon.

Then,you are good to go.

The 2fers are only good at even money bets and are not as good as cash at all.

B-4 you toss that 2fer on the BJ table with your chips, wait until you FEEL like the count is good.

Why waste it on a random time?

Craps will not give you any feelings,in that respect. The dice have no memory.Even money bets.

The free odds do not count towards the payoff.

Roulette will work with red or black, odd or even:even money bets.

When you go to the GG for BJ,wait for a good count B-4 you slide the coupon under your GREEN chip.

We all wish you the best of luck! Go get your free stuff!

You probably will not have the time to use all of them.I never do,even the drinking ones!

Players card is required - I cant remember for sure but at the D and GG you have to go to the players club to get the coupon and I believe at GG you then go to the cage for a "$25 matchplay chip"

I agree with Dave - if you choose to use it on BJ then wait till you feel good about it. My last coupon run downtown I managed to have pretty decent luck on my matchplays.  I got from GG, Plaza, Mainstreet, California, and Downtown Grand in about 3 hours.  Playing a little at each.  If I was having a little luck I played a few more hands.  Either way, its free money so use them all.  My wife would get the slot play on her card while I got the matchplay.

In my opinion - and choise of use - the best value of the MRB.  I use a couple of the other coupons but the gambling ones pay for the book!  Good luck!

Thanks,Drew. I forgot the procedure to redeem the coupons!

A "coupon run" downtown is good fun and THE MRB is a real bargain.

To use the Plaza coupon,go to the FAR RIGHT REAR of the casino to redeem,as I recall.

Different places have different requirements. One I recall in the MRB is the table matchplay for Ellis Island. To use that one, you have to write in your name and card account number on the back and show the dealer/pit boss your card. This is to be sure that you only use one of those couplons per year, per person.

The main reason they require you to have a player's card is that people often run off duplicates of the coupons and use them over and over until they get caught. A lot of the casinos that have good matchplays force you to exchange your MRB coupon for a matchplay coupon at the player's club for that reason--they can keep track if you've done it before that year. The "must detach in the presence of..." rule exists for the same reason but is kind of hard to enforce.

I did an ACG/MRB coupon run downtown with a friend where we teamed up to bet pass line, the amount of the coupon; don't pass, 1.5 times the amount of the coupon, and $1 on 12. With a $25 pass line bet, we were guaranteed a $12 profit (or only $5 if a 12 rolled). For a $10 matchplay, it was $10/$15, and we bet $1 on "any craps." Coupon run net, $95 with ZERO risk.
