M Life math problem.

Got a nice offer from Bellagio in the mail that I am taking advantage of. It is for 3 nights comped and $150 in FP (although when I called to book it, the rep said I would get $200).

In the booklet they sent it states that if I play the same way I did last time I would get over $300 in express comps.

I checked the M Life website and found the formulas they use for determining your tier and express comps. I am barely into the pearl tier (about 27K tier points).

I don't get rated at the tables, so it is pretty easy to figure out about how much coin in I have. Looking at my Tier points I had about $5K - $7K coin in on my last trip (I play almost all slots at MGM properties), but to get $300 in express comps I would need at least $30K coin in which would qualify me for high gold status with most of it being slot play.

To add to the confusion I checked my summer offers on the M Life site and I can stay at any MGM property for 3 nights (no mention of Sun-Thurs restriction) with $100FP and 2-1 tix to any MGM show. It is for a suite at Luxor,Excal,NYNY and MC and standard rooms at the others. Seems pretty generous for a low pearl who spread play out over about 4 days at multiple properties.

Has there been a problem converting points from Players Club to M Life? Did they make some kind of mistake with me? Are times so tough out there that the offers have been upped even for little fish like me?

I don't really keep track of coin in as I go. I just play what and when I feel like.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

I wonder if this has to do with your offer being a summer offer. In the summer, many people don't want to come to LV due to either other June commitments (Weddings and Graduations) or due to the what many people feel is blazing heat there in the summer!

And so maybe that's just it, since I think that they'd rather have you there than nobody there.

But it's a DRY HEAT!!!

Your probably right about the summer offer thing. I always thought it was silly to worry about the heat out there since most things are in air conditioned comfort and time spent ouside is really pretty minimal.
I usually don't mind the heat there too much during the summer but there are many people who just don't want to go to LV to deal with that kind of heat.

The wife and I gambled at about the same amount prior to the conversion. Yet she got a pearl card, and I the base card.On the Mlife website, it says I need 13,117 tier credits to reach pearl. Is there a problem with their system, hell yes. I would talk to someone at the MGM Detroit but it would take me a couple of hours to find someone with an IQ above 10. Bob
Do you and your wife play different types of games? Looking at the points they award it is obvious that MGM just LOVES slot players at 5 points per $1 coin in. VP is 1 point/$1 in and tables are a fraction of that.

Of course, that probably means nothing since it is obvious that the math just doesn't work out in my case and I assume many others.
Am I reading that right VP one(1)point for One (1)dollar in.( $1 in = 1 point)I am a Gold M Life member and in playing VP put $7.50 coin in = 1 pt. .... do not play slots... Richard from Ca.
What I read was that $2 coin in on slots = 10 pts ($1=5 pts). $10 coin in on VP = 10 Pts ($1 = 1 Pt.). Thats Tier pts.

You may be thinking of reward points. With those I read that $2 on slots = 1 reward point = $0.02 = $0.01 per $1 coin in. On VP $10 coin in = 1 reward point = $0.02 = $0.002 per $1. These are modified for higher tiers.

Of course with all the screw ups I have been reading about concerning M Life, and the intentionally confusing rules and hidden formulas used by all the casinos, I could be totally wrong.
