I noticed this too and posed the question to them about it. They claim the deal is still in effect, and imply they took it off the web page to make room for other offers (either a lie, or just very strange).
When I was there a couple of weeks ago, now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing the sign in front of the buffet that lists the point requirements for the free buffet! When you are there, see if you can find that sign. If it is no longer there that is a bad sign (no pun intended). Also, ask the buffet cashier if they have heard that they are doing away with this deal.
In the meantime, yes, it is 850 VP points for weekday lunch.
Would love to get an update on the status of these free buffets from anyone who visits there. I'll be in town next month and have been planning ot taking advantage of the comp meal at least once.
I asked at the Player Club and the lady must have been new there and didn't even understand. But she did say of course you can earn a buffet. Lunch is 450 points. I couldn't find out if that is single day points or not. It didn't seem to take that long to get 450 points at dollar VP. But we didn't eat there that day. We ate there on Tuesday, Senior day, when dining is half price using points. They have points and comps. It's confusing. My receipt shows a dollar value, no mention of points. But there were changes in the menu that lowered my opinion of the buffet. Now I think my favorite is Red Rock for lunch.
The M buffet comp is single day points. Using half price points for Senior Day is a much lesser promotion, as you have to spend points to pay for the buffet. With the everyday buffet points promotion, no points are used. The points you earned stay in your account. It's one of those, "earn the buffet, you keep the points" promos, which makes it much better than paying with points, even half price.
