MSS Comps - How much daily coin-in for free play offer?

Our offers just got downgraded, too. I've always gotten 3 nights and $30 food, been that way for at least four years. Wife has gotten 2 nights. Just got our February offers, I got 2 nights, she got only discounted rooms. No food. We haven't reduced our play at all. I can live with this, I guess, as long as the VP and the CB don't get downgraded.

My offers for February were downgraded too. I just got the discounted room nights. That's not good enough for me to continue to play there. I get lots of free night offers elsewhere.

On the day you check out I would not play. However if you can play more hours on the checkout day, lets say 6 hours versus only two hours on the first day due to a late flight arrival, I would do this. If you do arrive very late say after 10 p.m. on our arriving day, I would not play that day, get a good nights sleep, play a good amount on the one full day, then play whatever you can on the checkout date. The whole idea is that you stayed two nights if they are free nights, and you gave them two days of play.

As for the midnight to 1A.M. This issue only happened on the first day of play assuming I started at 12 midnight. Don't worry about this issue as you are plan to play two consecutive days.

Before you play and the day you checkout, you can check with one of the hosts to see what future offers you may receive based on your play.

You are allowed to check out at 1:00 P.M. if you call to the front desk as a rule. Sometimes you can get a later checkout than this if the hotel is not busy and you have played a good amount by checking with a host. This applies to MSS as well.

Good luck, please tell us how you do.

Ok, I did not play on my last day there, Thursday 10/17. I stopped playing after 10PM on the 16th. And I once again for January/February 2014 got an offer for buy one night at $25 Plus Tax and get one Free. Things were going on and I gave them less than 200 points for the entire trip including playing early on the day that I was to check in (Tuesday 10/15). I did end up getting 1PM Check out which helped since my friend and I didn't end up leaving LV until 3PM.

I haven't seen a reduction in offers but I usually play NSUD rather than the 10/7 DB machines. I avoid those because of the $3 per point requirement. The relative return is not all that different and I have always felt that they are more grudging with comps on those 10/7 machines.
What is coin in per point for NSUD? I always assumed that it was $3.00

Tony, it depends on which machines you play. On the uprights to the left of the Boar's Head bar (against the wall, the three closest to the bar), it's $1 per point. On the 10 or 12 MGMD slant-tops near the south entrance (with the 100%+ sign above the row), it's $3 per point; those are also the machines with 10/7 DB, also 9/6 JoB, and they insist that they can't configure the machines to give different points for different games.
Thanks Jon!

That's actually why I end up playing the 9/6 JOB at the bar. For health reasons, I don't drink much anymore, so I'd prefer to do most of my playing on those slant-tops, then play a little bit at the bar right at the end, but I don't want to do $3 for 1 point.

That's exactly how I feel about it. Those slant-tops are much more comfortable than the bartops, I'm not much of a drinker and I don't socialize much while I play. Wish you didn't get penalized on points over at those slants.
I have brought up the $3 per point issue with a couple of hosts and mention it in every post stay survey. They have a couple of options that would work. The best would be to figure out the software in the machines. The other option would be to lower the max denomination on 10/7 DB. The second option can be done very easily. If someone is willing to play through $10k coin in on single line quarters, more power to them.

MSS doesn't seem to understand the impact that the loyal players, myself included, give them via word of mouth advertising. I know I have influenced 9 or 10 people to go to MSS over the past few years. None of them are even close to advantage players so the comps they gave me have paid for themselves many times over.

I still miss the days when those slant tops were full points and offered FPDW. That was a long time ago....
My offers nor play have changed at MSS.
