Palazzo or MSS? (I know, doesn't seem like tuff choice.)

I have a choice of three free nights at the Palazzo plus $100 table match play, or three (actually four) free nights at Main Street Station plus $50 slot credits. I guess the Palazzo has stopped being so cheap with comps.

I love me my Palazzo rooms and the general hang, but MSS is my old standby for years and years, and I love the easy gambling, etc. There's more pressure to play high at Palazzo, but, if the ship heads south, I could just stop, I suppose, since this is a freebie up front.

I can't believe that my inclination is toward Palazzo, especially since I have been considering abandoning The Strip altogether since all the VP has gone South. But the BJ is still OK at Pal/Ven.

I will also be staying three nights at Palace Station and two at the Cosmo on this trip.

What should I do?

Thanks for all input. I guess I need to be told why I shouldn't pick Palazzo....

Why can't you double-book, or overlap? We all do it. Then go where you wanna.
I am curious, what is your avg bet and number of hours a day play at BJ to get this offer?
I have to say that I don't know this for sure (and you should check this out), but you still may have to keep up whatever your normal historical average bet and play time is for you to keep this offer to continue being a Free, upfront Comp. I know that I have read somewhere that as long as a casino has listed that in writing that the casino supposedly can charge you if you don't live up to whatever historical benchmark you have previously set.

I have stayed at both properties many times. My opinion:

If you have a budgeted several thousand dollars for the trip, go ahead and stay at Palazzo. Otherwise I would take Main Street Station. If you do make sure to include,

Dinner at Binions Steakhouse.
Dinner at Vic & Anthony's inside the Golden Nugget.
Check out Booze, Broads & Beef in the Plaza.
The lounge inside the Golden Nugget.
Use all those LVA Downtown coupons.
Zip line on Fremont Street.

Thanks for the Downtown activities calendar. Those places all sound sweet (except maybe for the zip line, for which I might be a little old). I have seen those "as long as you keep up your historical play" provisos, and Ven/Pal seems to put them on everything. My experience has been that as long as you sort of keep up your historical play, you're OK, even if it's only, like, half. I don't think I'd try the last-time, no-play stiff at Ven/Pal, like I used to do, repeatedly, at the Rio. The double-booking ploy isn't really for me, since I'm trying to decide where I want to go now, and then I want to go there and not jump around on a three-day period. I'm already doing three comp deals. And finally as to my betting. At Ven/Pal, I generally stay at $100/hand for three to four hours a day, though I flash some bigger bets if I think the pit boss is watching and/or cares, maybe $300 tops. But I also play a very conservative progressive, so if I'm lucky, I can get up to $500 or $800. Then there was the time last January when I had a stack that I thought was $400, except that one of the chips in the middle was a $500, so it was actually $800. I won one hand and did not notice the payout. The next hand, I got blackjack, and noticed. That was a little rich, but lucky. I tend to be more lucky than unlucky, so over time, I think I'm getting decent value (including rooms and some food) for my play. I know Ven/Pal has turned into a pariah, or at least it was the last time I looked, but I like the facilities so much, I'm willing to put up with a little B.S. And I'm going to book there. Thanks for your help, guys.
And here, perhaps, is why so many people hate Ven/Pal. I have three free nights and $100 table match play. But I have to pay $22.40 resort fee every day. So all the idea of being welcomed and pampered is drained away for a lousy $22.40. Weird.
I still don't understand the Resort fee phenomena at Ven/Pal.

My comps & tourney offers have returned, but No mention of resort fees.

Not sure why some get them, and some don't?

No mention of the fees until you make a reservation. And maybe she was just being nice.
Channeling KarenTn for a response. ... lol
