Palm Lobster Buffet Line

I understand there is a line  pre-opening. Then a pre-pay line then the actual buffet line. There will be nine of us attending using the Las Vegas advisor coupons .My question is do all nine of us have to stand in each line or can one or two people pay for the whole group, and then people stand in line for the actual entrance into the buffet We have some handicap people, and some older people which might have difficulty standing for a long time

Thank you for your help.

I was fairly sure about this, but curious, so I called them. Turns out ONE person can stand in line to pay and ONE person can stand in line to get everybody in--when you reach the cashier, the operator said, you can call over the rest of your party. She said there's plenty of seating on nearby slot machines and such. I would hasten to add, though, that the wait could still easily be a couple of hours. (Play penny slots--slowly!)

Here's a pretty detailed video of the experience:

It does make me think, though. There's a LOT of other really good food at the buffet, and you can't possibly try it all AND dive into the lobsters like they deserve :)  And the un-lobster selection will be even better on un-lobster nights. I mean, the un-lobster food in the video looks pretty damn good.

So the tiebreaker for me would be the crowds. I don't really want to fight them. I would go to the Palms buffet on an un-lobster night--I doubt I would feel deprived. It would cost a lot less, and I could still use the LVA coupon.

Given the composition of your group, I don't think they'd get as much out of the lobster part of it as some people would--all the waiting can be fatiguing, abd they probably don't eat as much as younger folks. The "plain old" Palms buffet would still offer your group a great experience.

Just my two lobsters.

We went on a non-lobster night planning on using the coupon.. It was a 90 minute wait.  We ate at Tim Ho Wan which was very good

I believe that part of the Palms marketing strategy is to have customers do business with their other restaurants when the line gets real long.

I'll be there on Thursday and report back.

A friend who lives in Vegas told me that because of the buffet being mobbed all the time, it's easy to get in to any of the other restaurants, without a reservation. Their pizza joint that they had pre-pandemic was very, very good--I don't know about the current version.

The thing is about the lobster, you find yourself eating a whole bunch of it to try to get your money's worth--and then you can't sample all the other good stuff.

We tried the lobster buffet last March. I'm not a big lobster fan, but my buddy is, and he said he has no strong desire to go back for it. Even after we got in the place, we had to wait in line for people getting the lobster tail (limited to one per person, BTW; you can go back and get another one after you finish the first.) This March we'll prob just use the coupon on some other night.

Sorry for reporting back so late; I did visit the buffet on Thursday, 12/14. At 3 PM the line was zero.

I was going to take one for the team by arriving a couple of hours early and standing in line for everyone else, but it was totally unnecessary. From about 3 to 6:30 the line was never significant. There were never any lines to get to the lobster inside the buffet either I asked the cashier what was up, and she just said it was a slow day.

The lobster tail was just okay, kind of like the tails you get with a steak & lobster special. But as coincidence would have it, about a week later I dined at Luke's Lobster on a pier in Portland, Maine. (I was one of those lucky MSC cruisers that got diverted from the Bahamas to Canada.) NO comparison.

Does the buffet have crab on Friday night?
