Palms AYCE buffet LVA coupon

Has anyone else had a problem at the Palms with the LVA coupon? I went there on 9/27 for dinner. I went to the member rewards desk first to get the printed coupon validated. They did so without issue. I then waited on the line for the buffet to open at 5pm. When I presented the coupon to the cashier, she told me the coupon is BOGO and not valid for single diners to get 50% off. I pointed out the fine print said it was. She refused and then got a supervisor who maintained the coupon wasn't good for 50% off. I pointed out to her the fine print. At that point she acknowledged the 50% off but then said the coupon isn't good on 'specialty' nights. I asked what made a Saturday in September so special? She said the coupon is only good for Lobster nights. I insisted her boss come over. So, now a 3rd lady came over and told me they dont take the LVA coupon for single diners. I refused to get off the line so she offered me $20 off just to move me but wouldnt take the coupon.

I really thought this coupon  would be the most valuable one but instead this casino humiliated me in front of a dozen hungry patrons.

Sorry to hear you had this kind of trouble.  No where in the coupon information does it state that the coupon is ONLY good on Lobster Nights.   There are a bunch of LVAers that have used the coupon, it would be interesting to hear if they had any issues on a Saturday night for dinner.

This is a very, very common problem, and not just at the Palms. A boothling, or a cashiering, or a managerling, looks at your coupon and is unfamiliar with it. But rather than figuring out how to apply it, they just tell you, straight up, that the coupon is invalid, for some "reason" that they pull out of their ass. They hope you'll give up and go away.

This shows two huge customer service flaws. One, horrible employee training. Two, horrible employees who will lie through their teeth.

I've heard enough about the Palms from other folks who had the same experience you had that I never want to visit the place.

I used my coupon on my last trip earlier this month. First time I have ever used it, I had no problem with getting it authorized and accepted by the cashier. If I was you, I would sent an e-mail to the Palms and alert them as to what happened.

Pretty sad when the coupon actually spells out the terms and they still play games.

Ive heard from several people  the lobster buffet has gone downhill.     Probably still a good deal with the coupon but ....just sayin.    I've used it every year - always for brunch.

I wish they would just put it in the darn book.   Who still has a printer in the year 2025?    I think Obama was president the last time I printed something.     I have to go into the office to print this coupon.

Thank you for your detailed post.

I generally have little sympathy for coupon users who fail to abide by an offer's terms. But it sounds like you hewed closely to the rules.

Shame on The Palms.

As has been brought up already, this is a frontline employee error. We can't control that. It will happen infrequently. We can reset your download if you call the office.
