The Plaza sent me an offer???

This past week I got a comp room flyer in the mail from the Plaza. To be honest.... I was shocked. I probably haven't played there in 7-8 years and this past October I just walked thru there to say hi to "Coach" a.k.a. Recvpplayer. Afterwards I stopped at McDonalds and took a peak at the "new" Plaza.

This offer is for 2 nights comped with a weekend thrown in if you only stay 1 night (or something like that). I probably haven't stayed or played there in the past 10 years. Im not sure of how to take this offer.

Is the Plaza doing so bad that they had to go back a decade for some friendly faces? Or is it that they realized that they have ignored an old friend for damn near a year and they want to reach out to me and say "come back"?

I did stop in the Vegas Club last year (while staying at Main Street Station) and tried my hand at craps for the very first time in Vegas. I had never played craps before (but did some reading about the game and some online practicing in BUffalo) and the table was damn near empty (as was the casino) so I thought that I'd give it a try. Had a blast and made 60/70 bucks.

I'm curious as to what others think.

It was great seeing you in October, Champ! Here is my two cents on this. Plaza could be missing you, but also, part of the reason that they may have sent you this offer could be that it now is Summertime when less people may want to go to LV due to the very possibly high temperatures as well as other possible commitments (such as Graduations and Weddings).

Damn and I thought that they missed me on thier "Whale" meter!
I got the same offer, and also, had not stopped in The Plaza in years.
I did stop in @ LVC 2 years ago though.

Oops, sorry Champ, I forgot to add in that it's more likely than not that this comp came from your Craps play at Las Vegas Club if you had your play tracked there. I'm saying this due to the fact that LVC and Plaza share the same Slot Club. But since the hotel rooms at Las Vegas Club are not being used anymore, LVC players have to stay at Plaza now.

That I'm pretty sure is why I've been receiving offers from them as well!

I got the same offer Champ. I played quarter video poker at the Las Vegas Club two years ago for less than an hour.

Maybe RECVPplayer can gives us some insights on the rooms! At present Main Street Station is my favorite downtown location for comps.

Id be game for checking out 1 of their rooms on my first or second night in Vegas 8/13-15th while traveling solo ( until my better half arrives Saturday afternoon) and since i would be double booked at Red Rock I can always break camp.
I have a free room offer from MSS too. I'll probably be staying there and at Sam's Town on another offer on my next trip in September.

Hi Champ,

Sorry that I did not see this until now. I find the rooms to be fine with newer beds and furniture in the rooms and a nice old school photo of Plaza from its early days hung in the room although the sink for the bathroom is right outside the bathroom door and within the bathroom door is the toilet and the shower/tub. There's also a small safe in each room to the left of the sink along with (if I'm remembering correctly) an iron and ironing board plus a Coffeemaker on one of the tables. Plus if you're comped, you can get two Free bottles of water per day if you have it cleaned.

And if I'm remembering correctly, I think that there is (if you are being comped at Plaza) a two night stay minimum (but check that to be sure).

The Plaza rooms with a Fremont Street view are nice but you will hear the Light show late on weekends. A friend of mine got the same offer but for 3 nights including one weekend night. She called a host who told her to "play $20 thru a machine each day" of her stay to keep the offers coming. That's about all she played and were still getting the same offer.
