Points for table play

Does anyone know if casinos give points for table play, or if you can only get points for playing on machines?

I greatly prefer the social aspect of table play, but I want points too.
At South Point, you don't get points for table play, but the pit guys can and will comp meals and even rooms, depending on your play level. We haven't paid for a meal there in our last four trips, and we typically eat at their very good restaurants for four of our five nights. For blackjack, you would probably need to play close to four hours at $15 per hand.
Most casinos rate table play, but the so called higher end casinos want $25 a hand minimum to even take your card.

The Southpoint system sounds like a good deal to me.

You can find out by calling the players club at the casinos you are interested in.
It's the same at the Stations/Fiestas -- no points for table play. The pit bosses rate you and comp you accordingly.

Although everyone always says that you need a $25 minimum to be rated on the strip, I don't find that to be true at all. I bet $10/hand and have been asked for my card at Harrah's properties (where they send me free room mailers and I've stayed the last 3 trips), Tropicana, Riviera, and Bills. Just ask if you can be rated at $10 and they'll tell you. Downtown properties will all rate you at that, except Golden Nugget.
We plan to play Pai Gow Poker and Three Card Poker at $5 table, if we can find it, and $10 if we have to (our Max) at the following:

The Gold Coast
The Casino Royal
The Orleans
And Boyd properties Downtown.

At these embarresing levels, should we even give them our slot card, or just save face?

First of all, never be embarrassed about the amount that you choose to gamble. If the casinos don't care about your small (to them) bankroll, that's their problem and not yours.

Second, I don't pay much attention to table games other than blackjack and craps, so I don't know about their minimums. It seems as though GC and the Orleans would have them at $5 mins. The downtown Boyd joints, if they have those games at all, figure to have them at the same.

And third, I know all the Boyd joints will rate you for $5 min bets, because they rate me at that level. You'll accumulate some tier points, though not very many and not very quickly. They might even throw some free/discounted rooms your way, though that's not a guarantee.

Never hurts to show them some activity, better than nothing. Better than them assuming you didn't play at all. Then if you have a match play down the line you won't look like a hit and run pest.
I do think also that at El Cortez Casino in Downtown LV, you can get some comp Dollars for playing Blackjack (at least at the $5 Minimum level).
