Question About Boyd Points

Hi Group,

How does the Bonus Points Balance and Card Score Balances work? I noticed that information listed as the information was scrolling across the screen after I inserted my card while playing at Fremont Casino.

When I finished my sessions, although the numbers starting and ending were different between the two categories, the totals of each ended with the same amount of points earned. So what's what?

Thank you in advance for answering this!

$1 Coin-in Slots = 1 point and your Card Score* increases by 2
$1 Coin-in Video Poker = 1 point and your Card Score* increases by 1

Bonus points are earned same as card points but are then multiplied your card level: Ruby = 1x, Sapphire = 2x, Emerald = 3x.
Bonus points are generated by the card score x the multiple available when the particular Boyd casino has muti-point days i.e. Suncoast senior Tuesday is 7x on VP and 10x on Slots. However on multi-point days, your bonus points are not multiplied by your card level AND the available multi-point multiplier. (Darn it)

Hope that helps.

Dick
I played 25c videom poker - max bets for 2 x 4 hour sessions.
I asked at the desk if I had earned any comps and they told me $1.00
I'm kinda confused how it works

Does a player get separate things for these different points (Bonus Points vs. Card Score Points)? So what does someone with Bonus Points get versus someone with Card Score Points? Are they different kinds of things (such as comps or other gifts versus cashback)?

I do understand that there are different tiered levels depending on how many lifetime points that a player has earned.

Card Score points are not for spending. They determine your tier level.

Bonus points are the ones you can spend. 600 points = $1 for food. 1,000 points = $1 cashback.

Ok, thanks for that, Sue! So do you have to have at least 5,000 points to get cash out (in at least $5 increments) of the casino, or, can you cash out for less, such as in cashing out 3,000 points for $3 in cashback?

And what are the breakdown levels for the different tiers? Do they have to be done within a certain time or can you lose your tier status and be knocked down to a lower tier?

Rec, the minimum for cashout is $5.
For out of towners the tier points drop off at a year and the levels are good for a year. So as the year goes bye the points will decrease as past visits will come up on their year anniversary and increase with each new visit.
Sapphire is 30,000 & Emerald is 250,000.
Ok, thank you Captain Bill for that information!

I don't play much there but I do like to play some Pick 'Em Poker for a change of pace!

Was out there last week and my anniversary is July... Iasked the ladies at the booth if they knew how my points came through month by month last year so I could make sure I kept my status as I headed toward July.....they said they can't view that....how weird is that?
It is kind of a pain, so I started keeping track on last Octobers visit. That way there won't be any surprises. I do try to keep a 100,000 cushion which covers most trips that might fall off and I do know when each trip anniversary comes up.
