Resort fees stay.

Just got the first offers from Stations and they are only cutting resort fees by 50%. What a joke.

Part if not most of the problem is resort fees exist at many non-casino hotels nationwide.  The casinos likely figure they won't get rid of them if the non-gaming properties keep them.

The REAL PROBLEM is that people are ignorant enough to pay these rip off fees.

First "joke" I've heard of, cutting them at all.  Has anyone else declared a reduction or elimination of resort fees?

I will preface...I have avoided vegas few a few yrs primarily BECUASE of the resort fees....just some thoughts .. imagine to open a business .. at only 50% of capacity ... no other ancillary shops or restaurants open ..after no income for 2 months and increased costs from all the cleaning and measures needed ...of course the resort fees will continue ...........after all with them almost 40 million still visited last yr

The parking fees are gone.   That was the true outrage.    I boycotted most of the strip as a result.

Resort fees are largely transparent and exist pimarily as a way for the hotels to screw over Expedia and Hotels.com.    They dont really impact customers and they are not an "added fee".   THey are just the room price broken out into a second bucket that 3rd party websites dont get a cut from.   Likely if you got rid of the resort fees the hotels would charge extra to cover the commissions to those 3rd party platforms.   So be careful what you wish for.
