Resorts World has a free play offer through march. Every 2000 points earned you get between 5 and 25 dollars in free play. Points seemed to add up quick. They also offer tier matching.

What do you mean by "between"? Do you spin a virtual wheel or something?
I assume that is in addition to the regular free play earn, which is 1000 points gets you $1--and those 1000 points take $3,500 coin-in to earn (so, 0.086%).
So you would normally get $2 in free play for that 2,000 points, and now you get $5 "to $25," or $7 to $27 if the promo is in addition to what you normally earn. This would be a free play rate of roughly 0.2%, if you make the reasonable assumption that you almost always get the $5 free play.
The VP at Resorts is garbage (below 99%), and expensive to boot ($1 machines or higher, with a few 50-centers). So an extra tenth of a percent isn't going to do much for me--but it might be worth it to "establish" there. I know they were awarding $25 free play to all new members of the player's club. I assume that one has croaked.
My reason for dropping by was going to be to check our the new poker room. I've heard nothing but good things about it. Apparently the best parking is non-intuitive.
The 5 to 25 dollars is on top of the regular 2 dollars and is random on your screen. You hit the promo that pops up and get the reward. Our averages were probably 8 dollars on 20 promos . There were also slot tournaments that you could qualify for that would pop up. I think it is the same software that is at the Downtown Grand, but seems to be a much better rewards club. And they tier match which is nice , as are the bathrooms !
