Room comps for July, August and September?

I usually get 2 or 3 nights, midweek.It is now mid-June and a small incentive to go to The El Cortez. 20 % off room rates. That's it?

I'm planning an October stay in downtown,but we ALL should be getting offers to COME BACK NOW!

 It was mentioned that only the high rollers were getting room comps so far ,as the casinos have re- opened.

My buddy IS a high roller and he was offered 4 nights at The El Cortez,including a week end stay.

My other gambling buddy is a mid roller and he was offered just 2 nights there, mid-week.

They need low rollers,too!

The heat in 'Vegas is brutal for the next few months and people are going!Masks for most places,including the airlines. 

  SWA has been great to allow re-scheduling of flights at no charge.

Why won't the airlines offer lower rates to destination cities?Alaska Airlines rates are still UP THERE!

 Perhaps people have been cooped up for so long that they need to get out of town at any price.

For a while flights were very cheap, but they are back to pre flu levels. 

The hotel offers I have received are the same level as before. 

For years the casinos have crept up the prices of everything, accross the board, for room rates, food and drinks and have added the rip off "resort fees' and then paid parking. In addition the gambling has been plagued with lower payouts and raised betting limits. 6/5 blackjack is a classic example of the erosion of these games. The visitors still came and paid and paid and paid. The bean counters, I believe, are counting on this past acceptance to return. Little do they realize and/or comprehend that -1).people have been unemployed with less income to blow, -2). people are smart enough to not visit Vegas til proven safe and -3).  people have discovered they don't "need" Vegas as much as they thought they did. So now the casinos will wait and see just how many people show up until they decide to implement cheaper rooms, better gambling, and removal of the rip off "resort fees". Just because Vegas Is Vegas DOES NOT ensure that people will come and put their lives and their depleted amounts of money at risk. Visitors from outside the U.S. will be few and far between. Airlines will not have many people flying until they accept that the demand is not there as long as the prices are too high. This "shake down period" will take months. The bottom line will determine how soon these greed merchants realize that without the massive influx of visitors the casinos and Vegas will suffer. Patience will be key. Wait your time, the casinos will have no choice as the revenue streams remain low but to change their pricing if they want to remain in business. 

The plaza sent me a 20 % daily rate today. That won't cover the RF + tax. Fools.

I can get a better rate through an OTA.

Well for both of us, Boyd has given us both our normal 3 free nights with the normal free play and food and GVR finally today sent free rooms for any day except Saturdays for the next two months for 3 free days multiple times.

Strange reading about El Cortez as many people received 3 free nites for a few months including both of us.  We're both low rollers and at EC we just do a coupon run for an hour or two.  Haven't stayed there for 7-8 years-go figure.

My buddy is a tow truck driver and he picks up dead cars and he gets ALL of the airport tows. He says that people are flying a lot more than last month.Really?

What is the foot traffic at Mc Carran?

I don't know about Vegas flight data, but US flight data was down 77% yesterday vs a year ago.

I have my normal 3 free nights at the Venetian. I am heading out there Saturday for a quick 3 day trip. Will come back and give more details on what I see.
