So, I'm Thinking About Contacting a Host for My Year-End Trip

Hi,

I am Diamond and my husband and I both play on one card (mine). We have a terrific host at Paris, but I'm not sure how much more he can do for us over and above the "regular" amenities. That said, we love the property and go 4 times a year for around 4-5 nights each time. Our rooms are usually P rooms with good views, which is important to us old-timers.

We can't wait to get back in 3 weeks!

I am somewhat in the dark about telling you whether or not to use a host. We do, but we don't normally expect him to treat as as whales, which we are not. We simply like the P rooms and the ability to contact a real person if something is wrong.

BTW, we used to get treated like this at V/P where Tim was gold, but as all of you know, that ship has left the harbor. Although we did find a new host who will honor our past offers this October.

Love all of you guys, even though we don't post too often. Have some health problems which you don't need to hear about. But I do check in every 2-4 days and print out stuff, which enables me to nod off happily before I fall asleep. Much love to all, and I hope to be more active here in the future!
What a nice post Geri. You really should post more often.
What kind of play do you do at Paris to keep the P rooms coming?
Geri,

Thanks so much for posting. I'm sorry about the health problems but I get the sense that things are getting better? I hope so. Sending luck and prayers your way.

I know what you mean about good views. I'm not in my room much but I place a premium on being able to look out the window and see a great view.

I went ahead and booked a room at Bally's for 5 nights (first 3 nights comped at Red Rock) and I think some time in November I'll contact a host to see if there is anything special she can do at Bally's or one at Ceasars. I hope at least I get a good room -- I figured that shouldn't be too hard for a host to do. I really like RR so splitting my stay between RR and the strip may wind up being the best option but I'm still exploring trying to get 8 comped nights (or at least 3 addtional nights for a really nice room but cheap rate tacked on that I can pay with TR credits). Would really like to go to a nice CET NYE party too. We'll see! I will report back as to what happens!

My personal experience, since Paris Las Vegas is my (new) home :
1,000 to 2,000 tier per trip. (90% tables) Was booking into Red Room with a request for a Giverny LeMans Suite. (which, AFAIK, is some form of P). Now, they are booking directly into the Giverny LeMans Suite. Was offered an Imperial Suite last trip, but un-renovated. I stayed with my usual (renovated) LeMans Suite.

Only two trips so far this year, one additional scheduled for end of October; but highly unlikely.

Giverny LeMans Suite.

I've stayed in that suite- LOVE the large bathroom, separate make-up area and jacuzzi retangle tub- and second bathroom is a plus- great view too- but it's not new-new.
any room w/ a double room is a win.

Yep, that's the one.

Since I almost always travel alone; I've renamed the bathrooms his+his, instead of his+hers.

Rooms are basically in the more "traditional" Paris style, but have flat screen TVs. Well, at least the suites on the Red Room floors; of which, there is ONLY one smoking floor (or at least only one above the 20th floor, with views).
FF- Hope you've had better luck getting ahold of a CE host than I have.
Found out thru emailing a ? to CE online........they gave me the email addy
of my supposed Host at Caesars. (never heard of him)
Sent him an email.........twice...........no response.

I'm starting to feel like Kathy Griffin.......

Try Yolanda Stock at 800-634-6001 ext.1347,tell her Bob from Warren,mi. sent you. Bob
Since last post I received a promotion for a great new job that has taken up all of my spare time but still planning to head to Vegas 14 days from today after Christmas dinner. (No time to work on a detailed itinerary though. LOL) Bob, I just left Yolanda at Caesars a voicemail. She's off Sundays and Mondays so hope to hear something by Tuesday. We'll see!
Sorry to miss you this time around FF.

I will be in town next Sun. Plan to put 1,000 Tier on hubbys card, and he will be Diam. finally.
My card is up where yours is, so no need to put anymore points on mine........plus, like I said in
earlier post, CE has not graced me with any decent NYE offers this year, so were heading to Reno for NYE.

Got a mid-Jan trip booked, but its a Cruise voucher pickup trip, and those, I don't miss. lol
So I get something back out of CE whether they like it or not. lol

Keep your iteinerary open & relaxing this time, and just play where the mood strikes you, ya know?
Karma baby!!!! Good Luck!!!!
