Stations Casinos new way to screw you over

PackerBackerAZ- If I may suggest, when visiting South Point, check in with Jamie Lewis in the host office and tell him that you are thinking of moving to South Point for your future stays in Vegas. He has been very helpful with my stays there. He is normally there til 4-5 PM daily.

David,

Thanks for the contact info. We'll certainly try to meet him. We don't do weekends in Vegas so hope he isn't off when we're there.

Well, you could always call to see if he will be there when you expect to be there. Just ask for him by name when you call - they will connect you - I have done so in the past. Good Luck

any updates on multiplier days, or using points for dining on wedensdays

They have a 10X multiplier on Thursdays and Sundays--but for "invited guests only," and a senior 10X multiplier on Thursdays--but only for locals with Nevada ID. So if you're coming from out of town, Stations sends the unequivocal message--"piss off."

I booked free rooms with free play at Palace Station for July and was told that 1/2 point dining on Wednesdays was still being offered to everyone over 50. Was told there would be no resort fee either. You do need a Nevada ID to get the 10x points on Thursday. We're going to eat at Palace on Wednesday and play at Southpoint that afternoon and evening. Thursday we eat at the Southpoint buffet and play there again. If Stations doesn't want out of state senior players then I will certainly honor that.

It took me a while to realize that "invited guest" is anyone who has received an offer, email, snail mail.  I had been thinking "Ooh, invited guest...must be a high roller or other somebody of high rank.  So instead of standing in the normally shorter "invited guest" line to check in, we'd pile in behind the longer lines.  Not usually a big deal, but again, if you receive an offer of any sort, you are an "invited guest."  Use it where it applies (mostly only at check-in).

I think in terms of these promos, "invited guest" means anyone who specifically receives a mailer telling them they're eligible for THAT promo. Definitely, Stations' policy is that non-locals get nothing, nothing, nothing, even if they dump huge sums of cash.

In terms of hotel check-in lines, I've always understood that "invited guest" is anyone staying on a comp.

I am not local and receive offers from Stations for rooms and freeplay.

Stations might allow out-of-town players from prior years to retain their status. I wasn't referring to that, though--I was referring to eligibility for point multipliers and senior play benefits. Those are now restricted to locals.

I would, however, like to hear from anyone who has recently visited Vegas and played at Stations for the first time, regarding any subsequent offers they've received. I don't get the logic of restricting point multipliers to locals only---Stations' base point rate is so stingy, they're still making lotsa money at 10X points. The whole idea behind these promos is to encourage play.

But then, Stations has obviously decided to give the middle finger to those customers who built up their brand.
