Stations Casinos new way to screw you over

just got back from a comped stay at Green Valley.  No muliplier and no half points wed.  Next trip we are using room offers from the Rampart.  Nice thing about Vegas is we don't have to play at Stations or Ceasars !

Thanks for the update. I was told that the half point Wednesday for seniors was still in effect when I booked at Palace Station. I will not be planning on it now.  AZ Charlies Decatur for our first meal in Vegas (using points) and then down to Southpoint to play.

Well, it might still be in effect (and the designated day(s) might be different), but you'll need to have a Nevada DL to get it.

AZCD is always a good place to stop for a bite to eat. While the specials have all gone up by $1 (of course), they're still good deals. Steak and eggs, hash browns, biscuit and gravy, $6.99. Pity there are only four fullpay VP machines left.

South Point is now WAAAAAY out in front as far as good eats, good VP, and good promos are concerned.

I will be staying at the Palace Station the 14th and I will report back about the multipliers and the half point details.

I truly must not be Station's target demo.  I've stayed at Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch, given each some small play of a few hundred coin-in/day, but live out of state and usually come only once a year.  I've never gotten a free room for any night of the week, and only $10 to use for dining.

Maybe they're more strict with the higher echelon properties.   I get offers for Boulder Station and Sunset Station every month.    I'm in the lowest tier of their slot club.

For years I received offers from Palace Station - I played a lot of craps and some video poker. When I stopped playing craps and concentrated on video poker ( playing at the 25 cent level, .25x 5 = $1.25 per hand), my offers mostly disappeared. This year I have still not played craps but I have played video poker at the $1 level ($1 x 5 = $5/hand), in the High Limit room, I now am receiving offers for rooms and free play. I believe that playing at a higher denomination is the reason for my receiving offers. Playing in the High Limit room has the bonus of great drink service.....

Thanks guys, I think you've both hit on something.  I'm not their target at those two properties, nor do I play a high enough demonination to rate.

Back when I lived in Vegas, and even afterward when I changed to a frequent visitor, I observed that Boulder/Palace/Texas/Fiestas were much more generous than Green Valley/Wed Wock (Elmer Fudd's favowite casino) for the same amount of action. Modest quarter VP play at the former got you some nice offers, while the same play at the latter got you a birthday card.

And my birthday card came with postage due.
