Stations Casinos sent me a mailing for a free cruise!

I got home on Wednesday night, picked up the mail, and there was a brochure for me from Stations Casinos in Vegas for a free cruise. Blew my mind - I never expected to get something like that from a casino. Red Rock and Green Valley Ranch are the two casinos we stay at the most.

There was a special login page for Princess cruises, and then there were a number of cruises to choose from. They ranged from 3 days to 7 days, in various locations.

The cruise we chose is a 6-day cruise from LA to Vancouver with 3 stops along the way (San Francisco, Astoria Oregon, Victoria Island.) Leaves LA on Saturday April 30th and gets to Vancouver on Friday May 6th. In addition, that particular cruise also came with $300 credit to use on the cruise. The free cruise was for an inside cabin - we could have upgraded to a balcony for $300 a person but decided we'd just stick with the free one. The ship is the Crown Princess.

This'll be my first cruise and Connie's fourth. We are going to fly to LA the day before the cruise starts just to be sure we don't have issues with a late flight, and we have decided to stay in Vancouver for 2 nights and come back on Sunday the 8th. I turned in Starwood Preferred Guest points for the 2 nights in Vancouver - we’re staying at a Westin on the waterfront by downtown Vancouver. We booked a Best Western really close to the departure point for the cruises at the LA port; that’s the only night we’re paying for. I booked our airfare already - non-stop from here to Los Angeles and from Vancouver back home. Airfare wasn’t included, but I’m not complaining!

Going on a cruise has never been on my bucket list, but you can’t pass up free!!!
Great offer have fun.
We opted for a 10 day Panama canal trip out of Ft. Lauderdale. Upgraded to balcony, got the insurance and airport pickup. Total price for 2 was just over $1300...not bad for 2 on a 10 day. And, of course, the SWA direct flights were free with my SWA Visa card.
Nice offer.
Does sound like a very generous mailing indeed! Enjoy the cruise. Casino groups and cruise ships are well integrated these days... just look at how they each offer rewards on MyVegas and other games for a start. Have fun! They probably expect you'll go into the casino and lose more money than the cruise fare is worth. Prove them wrong!

I've never visited a casino on a cruise, so they won't get any of my money either. Seldom order a drink either...another big savings.
I doubt I'll play at the casino - I'll check it out, but if they have VP and the payables are bad I'll skip it.
