Stations offers going over a cliff

Just checked the one I received yesterday and its Feb 1- Mar 31 for 3 free nights at RR or GVR with a free suite upgrade. No mention of meals, free play or 6X pts. My trip next week to RR has $60 for food, 6X pts and $100 free play. On 3rd President card...looks like Chairman is not the way to go.
Well, let me add to the list of woes. Am President and got the Feb-Apr corporate offer for GVR of free weeknights, $59 Fri-Sat. No free play nor buffets. Wife is Platinum and got corporate offer for SS of free nights with mid-week suite upgrade based on availability. Also no free play nor buffets. Both are for max 7 nights. We don't do long stays of a week, so this has little value to us.
My offers started to go downhill as soon as they implemented their "new and improved" program, the one that Sue Casey has often championed on this board. I'm Platinum, which is really the old Gold level (all of the levels have been downgraded instead of upgraded in terms of what you're supposed to get), and, like others here, I've received the fabulous $59 offer. I also have 2 free nights, 1 free buffet, and $25 freeplay at any Stations, and a 3 night stay for the Super Bowl at Sunset. But my offers used to be much better than any of these. It seems the more I play at Stations, the worse offers I get.

I don't see a reason to continue to patronize Stations. The only one I like is GVR, but their buffet, like all Stations buffets, have gone downhill due to the decreased pricing, which, I guess, it supposed to attract more people. But it also makes a free buffet of less value. When I was at GVR in December, the place was pretty dead, and almost no one was at the dinner buffets.

I like FFlowers comments on other places that might be better for her. My main place is still M, even though there have been changes made there. I'd like to know where other people are going if they are quitting Stations. It seems that just about everyplace in Vegas has gotten considerably less generous over the past year or so, offering less comps, and charging more for rooms and resort fees. Perhaps there's a sort of conspiracy to devalue offers to repeat customers whom, the casinos think, will continue to come no matter what.
I am the lowest of the low with Stations (probably tin level). I give them very little play once a year. I just received the $59.00 GVR offer. That's crazy they would give a higher level player the same as, basically a non-player.

So it would seem that 'Status credits' and therefore, coin-in has no effect on the offers that one gets which means that there is no need to try to obtain Chairman or even President as everyone with a card gets the same offer. It's funny but I went to their website and put in my code and it said 'up to three free nights' but then the rate calendar puts all the nights at $59 or higher so how does one even use the free nights? I get free offers at M and Boyd's too so maybe I will just concentrate my play at those places. The only problem for me is that I've gotten spoiled by the nicer rooms at GVR and RR. I know that M is just as nice or even nicer but the last time I stayed at Sams, the room just seemed so noisy and dated in comparison. Does anyone know if Sams has suites that are decent? And if so, how hard are they to get for free? This is just a good reminder that one can't get too attached to a casino. Silverton used to be my favorite and then they changed their pay schedules and the way that their club rewarded players so I switched to South Point. I used to get free suites at South Point and then they switched their club over night so that I couldn't even get free rooms (even with the same level of play) so I switched to GVR/RR.
bearbear, have you tried calling them? Pain in the butt, I know. Sometimes comped rooms don't show up online when one tries to book an offer.

Although I'm not a big Stations player, I seem to get offers from "marketing" and offers that are property specific. The property specific ones for GVR or RR have always been better than the ones from "marketing." I agree the rooms are very nice at GVR and RR. I've never stayed at M cause they never offered me a comped room, even when I played there.
bearbear: I've stayed in a suite at ST but only because they ran out of rooms. Granted the bar is not set that high, but the suites are more modern and larger than the standard rooms. The suite I stayed in was on the inside corner of the atrium - I would guess that each floor has similar suites. I don't know if there are other suites that are not on the corners. To my recollection, and this was several years ago, there was a bar and substantial living room area. That area was separated from the bedroom area by back to back flat screen tvs, so I don't recall the bedroom being a separate walled room.
I agree that ST is noisy and dated in comparison with GVR, and also has a clientele that is older. But, there are tradeoffs with every casino - it's just what fits into your niche.

Sam's Town has 2 (actually 3) levels of suites. The smaller suites are the best, because they were remodeled a few years ago. They are located in the corner behind the mountain.

The larger suites are a full 2-room suite. They are located over the escalator between Billy Bob's and Willy and Jose's. Although they are much larger suites, as far as I know they have not been remodeled in years (for example, new carpet, etc).

Then there are even larger suites which can become a two-bedroom suite. We have only gotten this once, many years ago. I don't know the status of that now.

You have to ask a host for the upgrade (well in advance if it is a busy time). The desk clerks will just call a host to ask for it, which could be a real can of worms since if you do not get YOUR personal host, they (the random host on duty) will hem and haw and then say no, even though in all other respects, you are one of their BEST players.

We often arrange in advance for a "premium" room, which not a suite, but has a refrigerator, a couch or 2 recliners, atrium view, and a few more square feet. It's essentially the same as the regular rooms with a few added perks. The reason we do this is because we both have an offer, so we get one premium room and one connecting room. (The reason? Two bathrooms!) The host arranges this.

If you would like more information, send me a private message, and I will give you more information (including what to watch out for).

I hope this helps.

I finally got my casino snail mail. The card for Red Rock actually shows most nights Sunday through Thursday as "FREE" but Friday and Saturday at $59/night.
I'm "only Platinum" myself, but the Station offers were always decent so I've stayed with them. My offers used to be the "stay at any of our 9 properties" kind and were quite generous, like others have described. Now I'm only getting a casino-specific offer for Boulder Station. Apparently marketing has identified your primary Station property and gives offers accordingly. Right now I have the BS offer for 7 night max. with 3 comped. A host has confirmed that Station Casinos have indeed gone to marketing offers for specific casinos as opposed to what was recently done. I also do Sapphire-level play with Boyd, and my offers there are declining as well. Like others, I'm looking for a new option now that these relationships are starting to sour. How true it is that you just can't "marry a casino," for they'll all turn on you sooner or later.
