Stations offers going over a cliff

I did over $37k coin in at GVR March 31 (my 1st trip back to Vegas after my long break) and I've gotten postcards with free rooms for GVR and cards from a host at GVR and one at Red Rock offering 3 free nights whenever I want them. I've received NO offers of food or free play. Nothing.
I get only free rooms from GVR at the moment, but that's an improvement over what I was getting during the first half of 2013, which was nothing. My GVR host (whom I don't bother with any more) wasn't able to comp a $20 meal charge on my last trip.

As the economy improves, I think casinos will become less generous. As long as people keep coming and business is profitable, there's no need for being more generous than necessary. Customers have to decide if they're getting enough to justify continued patronization.
Missl7777 was correct in regard to the trip to RR I mentioned on the previous page. We paid $59 for Saturday 8/24 with 1/2 of the resort fee ($12.50) and no resort fee for 8/25-27 the comped nights. The Red Rock pools are great and not crowded as only hotel guests are allowed to enter. We did like the Rio adult pool better however. We had a lot of reward credits to use at the Rio and none for the RR however the food is much less expensive at the RR especially the buffet. We ate twice at Lucille's the new bbq place at RR and it was really good. It has a gluten free menu for those who need it. I find it hard to believe that these 25 cent video poker players got 3 nights free at the Rio and 3 nights free at the RR. Now if the Rio video poker was anywhere near as good as the RR video poker things would have been perfect.
Welcome back Mare! Station doesn't want winners or visitors. I'd stay away....

Wow, that is a lot of gambling, $37,000 cranked through machines in just one day.
I average about 20K a day (3 day visit is the norm) and my offers are pretty much back to normal...free nights, some food and free play. Last visit I was upgraded to a suite (RR) and my host tells me to expect one next month too.

That's how 'Mare rolls!!!!
Thanks for the welcome and the advice!

One day visits for me, so I tend to just play and play and play. Not having a lot of luck since returning to Vegas after my break, though. Three days there so far this year and I'm a big loser!

3-31 at GVR - $37k coin in, lost $300 -- hit 2 hand pays for $2k each, but gave it all back (but had fun)
8-11 at Tropicana - $17k coin in, lost $2783 -- just got my butt handed to me, couldn't hit anything (did not have fun)
9-2 at Palms - $37k coin in, lost $1750 -- no jackpots, no big hits, but had fun playing
Your 5.3% loss rate is pretty good on slots in Vegas, certainly better than the 7.5% or so that strip resorts have been holding in recent months. You should have lost perhaps 40% more than you did.

Don't feel you're a "big loser", you've done much better than you had reason to expect from cranking $91,000 through slot machines!
It sure doesn't feel that way, though!
