That stinky time of year: no deals for YOU, peasant

Do you prefer EI or Rainbow when eating?  I'm going to try to persuade the Mrs to take the trip out to Henderson for this one on 9/10 hopefully.  If I promise her a meal, I think I can pull it off.

Generally, I prefer the EI, because their menu is more extensive and they have better specials. However, if I want a burger, I go to BBB at the Rainbow. The breakfast special is awesome (and awesomely priced) at both places, but BBB's is a little better.

If you're going on Tuesday, the EI specials include pot roast and baked chicken (among other specials), while the Rainbow has a complete prime rib dinner for $18.99 and ribeye steak and shrimp for $20.99--a deal that flies completely under everyone's radar.  Also, I'm not sure if the senior half price Tuesdays applies at the EI and Rainbow or just the EI. So if the EI Grille is mobbed, just walk five minutes over to the Rainbow.

The vibe at both places is friendly and the service is excellent (usually). I wouldn't be surprised if you decided to return there the next day. Oh, and tell the player's club it's your wife's birthday when you sign up. Even if they don't always do it officially, I'll bet they tack on a little something extra.

Thx for info!

Heading out tomorrow for 3 nights.  Staying at a Boyd property (I know, I know) that is offering a free cruise if you stay there (comped).  Since there doesn't seem to be any great promos and I'll have the better half along, this will be more about using the comps and LVA stuff more than grinding through VP.  That being said, we can always find time for the Vue bar and sneak in some Sigma Derby.  Hitting the Palms AYCE Thursday night and using the 2 for 1.  I made reservations for this quite awhile back.  Also thinking about treating the Mrs. to the Binions joint with the 25% off coupon.  Made a reservation for Saturday night.  I still have some residual comp $ from my last visit from playing through that promo.  Also going to spend some time in the Mob Museum.  Have never been there and think it will be enjoyable!  Might also sneak her over to Emerald Island.  We will have a car and I've always enjoyed that place!

JDC - sounds like a great plan. You will enjoy the Top of Binion's Steakhouse. Been there many, many times. The 25% off coupon includes drinks. Can't beat it!

Though if he's going to Emerald Island...Saturday Steak Night, complete meal for around $24, ribeye, porterhouse, or filet mignon. I'll put that meal up against any steakhouse in town, even Binion's. And ya want coupon discounts, the LVA twofer applies to those meals, too! 50% off!!!

Did the Palms 2 for 1 AYCE last night.  With reservation wound up in a queued line for about 15 minutes.  It was excellent.  We both enjoyed the lobster.  Excellent ahi tuna poke.  What a great deal from the LVA!

As far as the VP there, definitely meh.  Combine not great pay tables and some bad luck I wound up negative.  Even with free play for the birthday month ($45 FP).

I will definitely consider Emerald verus Binions and will be sure to report back in.  Thanks for the great advice.  It's what makes this site great!

Booked 2 free nights @ Treasure Island plus 2 more nights @ $90 per night in October.

Still free parking

Rooms are comfortable, small fridge for snacks & drinks.

Usually do an afternoon @ EI. Friendly, good vp & promos. Cafe is good, not sure if the steak compares to Binions but probably good.

Have you looked into Caesar's rewards for comp rooms.Rio under new management giving free rooms as well.Paying $90.a night seems a little high. There are still free rooms.Just be careful about resort fee.

With the 2 free rooms my cost is $45 per night, with no resort fee.

We rarely play at Caesars so we don't have anything & have been to the Rio.  We were unimpressed with the Rio who has a long way to go.

That sounds like a good deal. I do like to try new places. I've stayed in many Las Vegas hotels over the years. The Caesar's rewards covers all there properties.Next visit we are staying at Paris.Never stayed there.Cost $150.for 8 nights. My son has diamond status so no resort fee.Nevertheless he doesn't think he will get enough match points in future. He earns most with hotel match bussiness travel. Job less travel this coming year.
