Top 10

I find the $24.95 prime rib at Primarily Prime at Southpoint to be better than Ellis. Same price & very good with a much nicer restaurant setting.  Comes with soup/salad & potato.

The $9.99 steak at Ellis is getting tougher.

Found $9.99 strip steak with eggs at the Village Inn in Highland (not sure if this in all their locations) to be very good.  It is served 24/7

I found the $4.95 hot dog at the M to be better than the Southpoint $1.50.  It is a Nathan's dog, which is a better quality dog & it is grilled, not boiled for a better flavor.

Just my POV

Good info, especially on the Prime Rib.  Prime Rib when it is tender and flavorful, can be a great meal, but when it isn't, it can be hardly edible.  I miss the old days, where the LVA did a tasting and review of all the Prime Rib deals.   I've wanted to try Jerry's, which was a champion of quality, years ago, but haven't, in part because I've seen too negative customer reviews of it in recent years.

A $4.95 hot dog had BETTER be superior to a $1.50 hot dog. Personally, I would never pay five bucks for one of the simplest and cheapest snacks out there. And the SP dog is more than adequate.

As far as prime rib is concerned, South Point has the best combination of price and quality. I remember when there were five--count 'em, five--places downtown that served an excellent full-meal prime rib special for $15 or less. Those were the days...

I was less than thrilled the last time I ate at Jerry's Nugget. High prices and so-so quality.
