Tropicana reimburses first $200.00 in slot losses?!

I just read in All Vegas Poker where a poster said that the "Tropicana will reimburse your losses on slots up to $200.00" - zippyboy fri april 15th 8:05 p.m.. in AllVegasPoker

I didnt see it posted anywhere in LVA sooooo I just thought I'd ask especially since me and my girl (who has never been to the Trop) are headin to Vegas in August.

No news...is bad news

Hey Champ,

As far as I remember, there should be some posts about the promotion I think in the LVA Gambling Message Board, so check there.

I do seem to remember that it is something like once you lose the $200, they will give you $100 in Freeplay immediately and then the other $100 in Freeplay will be available for usage at some point during the next calendar month (but I think that you have like a year to use it).

I have not done this promotion yet, so I don't completely know what's what with it.

RecVPPlayer
Everything RecVP stated was correct. My family used the offer back in Nov. and caught 4 aces for $800 on the
first $100 reimbursement. We're going back in July to use the second $100.
When you all play these is there a number you are looking for to walk away...you put in $200 you get to $400 do you take the win or keep pushing until you go through $200? At what point have you won enough to disregard the promo....I think for me it is when I double my money or hit something bigger than that!
I meant to post something on this earlier so thanks Champster for bringing it back up.

It's a pretty straightforward proposal. They'll reimburse you up to $200 of your losses. You qualify if:

1. You haven't had a Trop players card before. I think I might have but it was at least 10 years ago so I must have fallen off the radar. I was asked and heard others in adjoining lines asked if they had a card before. So, I'm not sure how far back they look or whether or not they take your word for it. I'm sure if you're an active player there, you'll hit the radar and not qualify.

2. It's based on your losses in the first 24 hours after the card is issued.

We went to the $5 Top Dollar machines in high limit. Barb got a bonus and cashed out after just a handful of spins up $160 or so. I managed to lose $195. There are at least two kiosks on the floor (may be more) that allow you to swipe and download the first 1/2 of your loss immediately. One major caveat.....you need to lose the whole $200 to get $100 now and $100 later. I thought I'd get $97.50 for my loss but it's on a scale and the offer was for only $75. I went back and lost the other $5 so as to get the whole $200. Had to wait in a long line at the players club to get it rectified and they initially said it was only good one time. I explained that this was conveyed and to think through the logic....by me losing another $5 I would get $50 in free play. Who wouldn't do that if they knew it? So, a supervisor loaded the additional $25 now and $25 for later.
It's
I understand the the second 1/2 of your loss is loaded on the 3rd of the month following the month you lost. So, I fully expect that there will be another $100 awaiting me on June 3rd.

I played the $100 of loss rebate free play on a quarter 7/5 BP wheel poker machine and cashed out around $80; running it through just once.

Everyone has their own "sytem" as to whether to keep playing or take the profit and run. We play as a team so I think on a combined basis we won about $240 plus whatever I can get on my second $100 in loss rebate in June.

There was no shuck and jive....this went just as they advertised it. It's a pretty strong promo and worth playing. I don't have the brochure with me but for some reason I think the second half loss rebate stays on your card for a year. You'll want to confirm this; expecially if you're an infrequent visitor.

On a related note, I have to say that they've done a nice job on the remodel. The casino is bright and the theme is clearly South Beach and it's carried off pretty consistently through the casino and public areas. I've not seen a room other than internet pics. The vp games are not very good unless you're a dollar and up player with the emphasis on up

Good luck!

Dan
If I play $200 through on May 31 and get the forst $100 back the other $100 should be there June 3rd?
