Yes, that's my understanding based on what other players and the players club told me. I did get the first $100 and will get back to Vegas on June 4th and will assume that it'll be there. If not, I'll report back on this thread.

Cool I get in on the 31st and leave on the 3rd so I may try it in one trip!
I would ask at the players club to confirm but this is what they told me. It's also not that big of an issue if you get back to LV frequently enough so that you're 2nd half rebate doesn't expire.

Good luck!

I think the Wife and I will take advantage of this on June 2nd or 3rd. My "strategy" will be to hit the higher limit (better payables) vp machines and look for the quick hit and run. We'll run if we hit, but will take the $100 freeplay if we miss. Sounds like like a worthwhile jaunt

The question is always what is a good hit...if you put your 2 hyndy in a $1 or $5 machine how much do you need to get up to call it quits?
Good question, I'm horrible at this, but if I put in $200...I'm running at $300. That's just me
About eighteen years ago when I lived in Los Angeles and Tropicana casino was run by the Aztar corporation I joined the slot club there. I even stayed a few times with comped rooms but haven't been back for at least fifteen years.

Back in April I did this promotion. The slot club boothling asked me if I was ever a member of the slot club and I said "I am not sure." She then looked up my records, saw that I lived at an address at Northern California and asked what my wife's name was. That was the first time I was ever asked that when I was ID'ing myself. I responded by stating my wife's middle name and was then told I was eligible. I was explained the offer which this board already explained above.

I decided to try for a big hit with the $200 free play and then if I lost, I would play video poker to get my principal back if I lost and played on the reimbursement. I found the high limit area, and played $5 Top Dollar Slots. The first $100 was inhaled by the machine without a burp. The second Benjamin when in. I was down to $50 when I hit the "TOP Dollar" bonus. The way the game is played, you get a series of four offers (or is it three?). You can take an offer or try again. If you get 40 credits, you should take it. My first offer was 25 credits (equivalent to $125). My second offer was 120 credits ($600). So I took it the offer and cashed out and headed out with my $450 profit.

BTW, I did look around the place and it is really much nicer than before. It has a kind of Miami South Beach vibe -- much cleaner and younger than before.

Yes, Champ, a 50% profit (from $200 to $300) is a nice thing and I think that it is being reasonable and not too greedy!

I'd say that ending up with anywhere from about $60 more than you started with to $100 more than you started with (based on a $200 playing session pot) is a decent and realistic way to go!
