So I guess there are restaurants where you can't use the CET food credit at all? Seems odd--i would think that a food comp is a food comp.

Where would you choose to eat at those properties if you had the $100 food comp to burn?

One thing I learned when I was investigating the Plaza deal is that the food credit is severely restricted to only a couple of items at only a few food outlets. Again, I don't understand why.

The value of a food comp is what you would have spent voluntarily on the same meal, so if you use it to get a $26 sandwich that you would only have paid $15 for, it's worth $15. I wouldn't pay rack rate for any Caesars restaurant, but I would consider using the credit at the Bacchanal buffet. I'll bet the deal doesn't let you do that, though.

The only one that's doing a straight dollar amount credit is Circa. Everyone else is select restaurants and/or menu. I don't really drink enough alcohol to make the plaza deal worth it. Especially with the limited selections.

I am not sure which restaurant I would pick. Maybe Gordon Ramsay Burger just to try it? It is unclear whether you get to pick any item on the menu or if there is a special menu for the deal the way plaza and MGM are doing it. 

For MGM they have a handful of restaurants at different properties with special menus. When I looked through it on the website it was decent. 

Between the MGM and Caesars deals I would probably lean toward MGM. 

In my personal opinion/preference the best deal is the one at Circa. The rooms are really nice, the location is great, one can use the Food and Beverage credits at almost any restaurant or bar at the 3 properties. (I think the only exception is the poolside bar).

I'd be curious to know if the drinks are legitimate cocktails with decent hooch....or if they're just the cheap well drink swill you get while playing.       

Most of these "deals" restrict you to the cheapest dishes in the cheapest restaurants (again, I don't see why they'd mind if you blew the entire $100 on an appetizer at the Bovine Delight Steak House), so I expect that they won't let you buy fancy drinks with those credits. They SHOULD--what's the difference --but it's probably a way to reconcile the expense or something.

I barely drink at all, and NEVER, NEVER, NEVER while, before, or after gambling, so such a deal would be worthless to me anyway. It's like them offering you $100 worth of stupid pills, and underscores why drinks are "free" while you're gambling.

The only one offering a $ amount in credit is Circa. $100 food and $100 beverage. Both of which can be used at any bar or restaurant at  Circa, The D, or Golden Gate. Any food item any beverage. Just charge it to your room and you will have the credit. (The bar at the pool might be an exception)

That's the great thing about the Circa deal. I used some of my credits for a ribeye steak and a glass of Lagavulin whiskey. 

Plaza, Ceasers, and MGM give you x number of meals at limited venues with limited menus. 

The ones offering "bottomless drinks" are limited to "well drinks, housewine, and domestic beer."

Yeah, the well drinks often taste like they came from a well in the town square of a medieval village during the plague.

After tasting beer in Germany, Belgium, and the Czech Republic, I can only use domestic beer to kill cockroaches. Works great for that, though.

I wish I liked Circa more. I wish they had decent VP. I wish I could spend more than thirty seconds in there without my ears starting to bleed. And I wish their food was reasonably priced. (When I find myself downtown, I always end up rambling over to Le Thai or one of the other nearby Asian restaurants that aren't in a #"$#& casino.)
