VIP Parking (Sue?)

Question for Sue Casey: while at GVR this weekend, I saw a sign outside the Players Club that said next week to pick up your VIP parking card. There was some small print that some players (most likely me) would not qualify. What's the scoop on this card? Seemed like it was a Stations card, not just GVR.

They have what they call Platinum parking at the Stations. If you are Plat (or higher), you get a special card to use for the reserved parking...its worth it.

We were disappointed in this card. Most of the "premium" lots were dark, underground, hard to find, creepy, and a long way to get there. Yes, they were near the door, but they were not easy to find and our cup of tea.

At GVR you want the 215 garage roof. Perfect.

215 garage roof is perfect in some ways, but not if the car is sitting in the hot sun. I'd rather park one level down. I'm a platinum so maybe I'll get one of those cards, even if I don't use it all the time.

The rules have changed because with the new tier level system, there are SO many people with Platinum cards. The current brochure says only President and Chairman card holders are allowed VIP parking cards.

That being said, we are still giving parking cards to Platinum players. The other properties do not do so. I don't know if anyone is checking, but if a Platinum player uses a VIP parking card at other properties, they may confiscate their card. We tell this to the Platinum players when giving them the card at Aliante.

The cards are good at all Stations and Fiestas. At Aliante, the VIP parking is in a good (not underground or creepy, lol) location. 2nd floor of the garage, close to the casino elevators.

Thanks for that info, Sue. Since I visit a variety of Stations places, not sure if I want to bother with the card if it's good at some places and not at others - too hard to keep track of.

It's definitely worth having the card at Santa Fe Station. And, even if the convenience is not that great the security is usually better.

Fred, the card will work at all Stations and Fiestas. There's no reason the other properties should know how or where you got it.

I'm Plat. but only stay at GVR or RR...........and Always park on the roof! lol

I saw the sign at GVR, but figured it didn't apply to me, and figured I didn't need it.

Even if its sunny, its so much more convenient & easy to find your car......Up on the Roofffffffff

CLV - roof top parking in the summer? It will melt you cards.
I've found the VIP parking to be great everywhere I've gone, especially at RR & GVR. So when are they going to change the name from Platinum?
Since I'm a Pres, won't effect me.
I use the VIP at Boyd too and their parking areas are not as convenient.
