A walk down Comp Memory Lane

I get that. My first Las Vegas meal (circa 1982) was the $3 steak dinner (11 PM tp 6 AM, I think) at Binion's coffee shop. The meal and the room made quite a first impression.

I stopped in Ellis Island last trip in April and had the steak. Makes me yearn for the LV of yore.

I've recommended this before, but if you want a blast from the past, visit Emerald Island in Henderson. Food at 1990 prices, full pay .01 video poker, drawings, prizes, promos...all the stuff that's gone bye-bye elsewhere.

They do steak only on Saturday nights, but it's a killer deal. Ranges from $20-25 for a Fred Flintstone-size steak (ribeye, New York, etc.), including potato, vegetables, soup or salad, and dessert.

Obviously, she wants to know why the phrase was used, not its definition.

The definition explains why it was used. Here is a word for YOU to look up - obtuse.  I saved you the trouble, here is the definition --- Britannica Dictionary definition of OBTUSE. [more obtuse; most obtuse] 1. formal : stupid or unintelligent : not able to think clearly or to understand what is obvious or simple.

Is it some kind of mental condition that compels you to be an asshole about everything? Inquiring minds want to know.

Or just maybe...you are really so OBTUSE as to not understand that your "answer" to Patricia was patronizing? Look THAT word up.

Now, don't be a man and admit you were wrong.
