What Did You Play for the $200 at Trop or $100 at Cosmo?

So what did you end up playing for the $200 reimbursement at Tropicana?

VP? Penny max bet slots? $5 slots? $1 slots?
VP gives you best odds. I played $1 VP at $5/hand. Took three hours to run that $200 through. Cashed my free play $20 at a time; played 4-$5 hands, cashed out. Turned that $100 free play into $90 cash. Not bad. Hope the next $100 does as well!

I must be reading your post wrong. Are you saying that you blew $200 at the Trop and played the $100 in free play that you can play initially, and recouped $90 of your losses and you are hoping you do as well on the remaining $100 in free play? If that's true, certainly that's not a terrible result, but aim higher.
Let's see--3+ hours of play plus numerous drinks during that time...$10 loss isn't bad. Couldn't expect a similar return on slots unless I hit big. I always WANT to win big but never expect it--I understand the odds.
I play poker expecting to win. I play video poker hoping to break even. Came pretty darn close so far.

I played $1 triple play 5/8 bonus in the high-limit room. They have 2 uprights in there. Scored 4 4's for a profit of $187. My husband played quarter 50-play 5/8 bonus. Lost his $200. Put his $100 in the $1 triple play and lost that. We are hoping that when we return in September, he will fare better with his other $100 in free play!

All in all we thought it was a good time, the place is really nice and everyone was helpful and friendly, it was easy to do.
Played NSU Deuces at dollars until I was -$200. Didn't take long. Played the free play though NSU quarters. Ended up down $35 (-200+25+140). None of the three sessions yielded anything exciting.

Thinking about doing the same at cosmo but with JoB.

I haven't done this promotion yet but playing Video Blackjack might be a not bad way to go (although I should add in that it does depend on what the Blackjack Rules are [what Player Blackjacks are paying, whether the machine restricts the Dealer from Standing on All 17s, whether the machine restricts Players from Doubling Down, Splitting or Resplitting Pairs and/or Doubling Down After Splitting Pairs]) as well as what Player Blackjacks are paying as opposed to what the best returning Video Poker games and pay schedules are offered there!

I played the $1 Quick Quads in the High Limit room and lost my $200 pretty darn fast - probably a half hour at most. Then I played the $100 on $1 8/5 bp and that lasted just a bit longer. Will be returning in Nov to play my other $100 but not sure what game I want to lose on!

Are you credited with points when playing the $100 free play?
I usually play $5 slots with these promotions. I get bored pretty quickly with machine play (even when there's an element of skill), so I want to either make a nice score or get it over with so i can go play poker, throw dice or bet sports.

Of course, on those occasions when I just want some free cocktails while I watch a game, I play smaller denominations with a view of a TV set. Very slowly...
