Aliante Buffet

I'll be spending my 50th birthday comped at Aliante and have a bunch of free buffet coupons to use.

Is this one similar to GVR or Red Rock? I'm a meat eater, so what types of meat do they serve at lunch and dinner?

It's very similar to Red Rock's buffet. (I haven't been to GVR in a few years, so can't speak to that one.) My favorite meat on the buffet is the brisket, located in the barbecue station. It's the best brisket I've ever eaten (not counting the brisket I make myself, lol). It's a very good buffet, and your free coupons make it even better.

BTW, if you're there on a Tuesday, that's Hawaiian night, with whole roasted pig.

Does Aliante have shrimp? I don't care if it's baked, fried or cold. How about chicken, turkey or prime rib? I like the Stations buffets and it's going to take a major act of willpower not to overeat.

Sorry, I don't know if they have shrimp or not. Maybe someone else will know the answer to this one, but I can't remember. I think the prime rib was eliminated from all the Stations buffets when they lowered the prices, although they had prime rib on Easter and will have it again on Mothers Day. They have various types of chicken, and they also have turkey.

The different buffet stations are Asian, barbecue, Italian, American, and Mexican. There's also a large salad bar including salad stuff, fruits, and soups. And excellent desserts (try the gelato!).

If you want good prime rib, I recommend that you eat at MRKT Sea & Land. You may even be able to get a host to give you a comp if you ask.

Agreed. Both TB and I commented how wonderful the flavor was and how tender.

I had 3 plates of food not counting desserts-- everything was 4.5 forks if not 5.
I wanted to eat more but my tummy would not allow it.
