All of these fees and charges just chaps my ass.

Parking, resort fees and charges that don't make me feel wanted in my favorite destination: Las Vegas.

I like to gamble and have a vacation and enjoy all of the good things that this city has for SOME of us.

The sights and the bright lights and the extravagant casinos,OH MY!

All tourists go there to SEE the amazing places and the food and the casinos and the stuff that they can see for free! Amazing, like no other city in the US,maybe.

OK,you are hungry! Where to eat? Only about 321 places to choose from. ANY taste can be fulfilled here/there.

Just a couple more things that you need to know about places that serve food:Extra charges.

Add the MF fee. No,the CNF fee.............I really want to make fun of that frikken' fee.I'm not that good with

Acronyms.

What?

Shall we complain? I would, but don't *stiff* your server please.

Does anyone know the difference between a TIP and a GIFT?

The TIP is usually left on the table, when you are finished dining.

A...GIFT is maybe some cash that you want to make sure that only your server gets it.

Some places that serve food and yes,the casinos "pool" their tips and that is taxable income.

Why would I blindly give up a CNF fee? The key word is "blind".  Some menus do show that fee IS in the very fine print, next to the "undercooked" caution. You may need your vision correction lenses.

Westie knows.

Well, shall we vote with our feet?

               Don't go there to eat!

Maybe the new Taco Bell Cantina downtown, will try that tactic.

The new Las Vegas will not get my($$$$) business, this year.I'll blow off 5 comp nights, this time.

May I deduct the food and the tip and the CNF fees as a business expense, when I entertain my clients?

OK ,a new QOD: Who has those CNF fees, this year?Just the strip places?

My favorite hidden fee is with the great bargain $4.95 breakfast at your casino diner ....you know - 2 eggs, potatoes, bacon and toast.....

......but if you want coffee with your breakfast its another $4.95.

When I moved to So.California almost 3 years ago I was excited because now I could drive to Vegas anytime I wanted. Now with all these "fees", I will be cutting back om my trips. And it's not so nmuch the money as it is the principle. It's just getting disgusting. The old time casino owners knew how to make money, just treat the customers right and you would be successful.Sure ain't your daddies Vegas anymore.

Who on earth charges 5 bucks for coffee?

Just pay attention,I guess.

I went to the Silverton for the graveyard special. I was asked if I wanted coffee. I said yes. My bill was $4.99 for breakfast  PLUS $4.00 for COFFEE. That is "who" charges $4-5 bucks for coffee, among others. Never again.

David Miller, just about every place charges for coffee like that.

If you are playing tables, right before going to breakfast order a cup of coffee (with a lid), take it into breakfast.  Or, if you can make coffee in your room, take it with you.  Don't ask or otherwise make a big thing of it, but in our experience they don't seem to notice or don't care.  May have to settle for that one cup (or chat the server up to sneak a refill in your cup), but better than paying $4.00 or more for that one cup.  Or if you have access to VIP get it there, though those aren't usually open in wee hours.

Candy, I was responding to Dave's post. I know how to obtain coffee in Vegas - I was just blindsided by the charge when I bought the bargain breakfast. Paying $4-5 dollars for coffee is outrageous, and just because "everyone does it" does not make it right - at least for me. I am not a big coffee drinker, so not ordering coffee when I eat anywhere (except for buffets) is not a big deal. I miss the old Vegas.

Sorry that I took you literally, David.  I get it.  Maybe somebody else will benefit from one of my suggestions.

No need to apologize, I knew your comment was well intended.

I have boycotted coffee for the last 15 years!

When Columbia had a big freeze, the prices went WAY up,but they never came back down.

That did it for me.

I drink Mountain Dew for my caffene buzz, now.

It goes good with my breakfasts and lunches..

MSS has it at the gift shop and in vending machines. $2.The Downtown Grand, too.

I also like black tea with honey.

NO coffee and  live in Seattle.
