BADDD experience at the Rio Carnival buffet

Last month the wife and I travelled to Vegas to attend a vintage motorcycle auction where we auctioned one of my bikes for Bladder Cancer awareness. Normally I attend this alone but wife was with me due to the charity part. The Rio buffet is one of our regular stops. She really enjoys the variety. This trip, we went for the dinner buffet. When we were seated (only a few minutes wait) I clearly see a cockroach crawling on our table. I point this out to the person seating us and I brush it off the table. She says so do you want another table/ I said yes in a different section (although the experience was pretty much ruined at this point). I keep an eye on the table and she tries to seat another couple there without cleaning or sanitizing it. I object and find whom I believe was a manager. I explaing things to him and he says I'll get it cleaned. Then before anyone tries to clean it another hostess tries to seat another couple there. I get the manager and say loudly clean the table or I'm calling the health dept right now.
Very disappointed at the staff and we probably won't eat there again.
You would never eat in a restaurant again if you knew all that goes on behind the scenes. I do agree that seeing a roach walk across the table would "gross me out" and I would not return.
What goes on behind the scenes: depends on the restaurant. I've worked in and around a couple places which are cleaner with better food handling than I use, and I'm on the border of OCD.

I have seen some of what goes on "behind the scenes" what was really disappointing was the lack of interest in making it both sanitary and "right" for the next people to sit at that table and that I nearly had to get into anargument w/ the supervisor/manager to get them to do their job. Probably won't eat or stay there again.

its not near as good as it use to be anyway
Rule #1. Never Trust a FART.......
Dined at the Rio Buffet once. Once was enough. ICK! I know it used to be pretty spectacular but I thought it was old and tired. Food was NOT good.
