Binion's Steakhouse or Top of the World

My wife and I will be celebrating our anniversary during our next Vegas trip and she wants to eat somewhere with good food that also has a great view of Vegas at night. We have never eaten at either of these places, so I would like to list the pros and cons for each based on what I have read here over the years and then get some fresh opinions from anyone that would like to chime in.

Binion's: great view if you score a window table, I've never heard anything bad about the food, everything isn't a la carte like many fancy places,25% off bill with LVA coupon.

Top of the World: spectacular view, I've read that the food can be disappointing in relation to the prices, no LVA coupon to soften the blow of the menu prices.
I'm definitely leaning Binion's way but thought I would get people's opinions who have experienced either or both places.
Jack, congratulations on your anniversary.

You are correct that there are mixed reviews regarding Top of the World. They've gone through a number of chef changes and I have no recent experiences.

Where will you be staying? There are a number of choices for view beyond these two options.
We will be staying at Westgate and have a car.
I've only eaten at Binion's and it was very good food and service.View was excellent and 25% off is a major plus.

Binion's food is very good, tip the Host or Hostess $20 and ask for a window table, it has always worked for us.
Why not both? There's a skybar at the Strat that has a happy hour with great drinks and appps....then you can have dinner at Binions

I concur. no reason not to do both. and if you mention your anniversary to the staff at each place, you may get a little extra attention or freebie of some sort. most of all -- enjoy!!
If you are willing to go to the Strip, I've been told that the Foundation Room at the House of Blues is the best Dining view in Vegas.
That being said I did not experience this myself.

I'll keep that to myself. Best dining view in Vegas+ Mandalay Bay = more than I should spend.
Nove at the Palms has a great view but you need to get a table facing the strip and not that huge marque at the front. And you can use your 50% coupon. Personally, we have a table booked at Eiffel Tower Restaurant for my 65th b'day.
