BoJangles

If you have a hankering for the opposite of fine dining, I read recently that Bojangles is headed to LV and will open mulitple locations. We had a BoJangles about a half mile from my house here in Tennessee, but it closed recently, replaced by a newfangled upscale biscuit place. Not the same.

So looking forward to some (cheap) gravy biscuits in Las Vegas in the near future.

If it's in Vegas, it might be $20 a biscuit. But there's hope. I hear that Bojangles is really good. I also heard that they were opening stores in SoCal. I would have thought that the fried chicken market was saturated, but I guess not. God knows, we're all looking for a cheap, non nausea-inducing meal.

I don't even want to know what upscale biscuits are. Truffle gravy?

I'm a Popeye's man myself.    Their spciy chicken is the bomb.  BoJangles is a little bland for my taste but no doubt people love it in the South.  Where my sister live in NC there are more BoJangles than McDonalds

There are a number of chicken joints where the base product is meh, but their "spicy" version is much better--Popeye's, Church's, even McChicken's. KFC has pretty much resisted the urge.

I can't see Bojangles getting much traction in the Southwest, given the profusion of options that already exist. I want to stop in to Gus Fring's Los Pollos Hermanos next time I'm in Albuquerque.

I agree with PJ on at least one thing..that Popeye's chicken is hard to beat. Ohh, Look!..pigs are flying overhead...

Wait are you serious?!?!? Bojangles is coming to Las Vegas?!?!? That would literally complete my life. I went to school in North Carolina and have missed it ever since...

I wonder what they offer that Popeye's doesn't already pitch. Well, I hope their efforts to penetrate the southwestern US market are successful.

I still want Los Pollos Hermanos.

I really like Popoeye's and BoJangles, but give the nod to Popeyes.  Like you, I think that their spicy chicken is outstanding.  Somehow the franchise on 38th street in Indy killed their golden goose.  That's the only Popeye's that I've been to that was bad.  Closed years ago now, I'm sure you know.

I can't see Bojangles doing well entering a market where Popeye's already has a stromg presence. I second the motion for Popeye's spicy chicken. They also make wings with a sweet and spicy sauce that's killer. They make good sides, like biscuits, too.

But quite possibly in Vegas, there's room for everyone. I'm sure there are some devoted Bojangles fans who have moved there and miss it.
