Bootlegger's, Peppermill, and John Cutter

We'll be heading to Vegas mid February, and we'll have a car on this trip. We've heard good things on the first two, and a friend just recommended the third. Anyone have any reviews of these places?
Peppermill is a long time favorite of mine. It's a 1970s cocktail lounge frozen in time complete with a circular ski-loge firepit in the center. Very tall waitresses wear floor length black dresses slit to their earlobes. What do you want in a bar?
It's on the north strip next to the Rivera. It also has a 24/7 restaurant with huge portions of hot brown food. Peppermill is a love it or hate it kind of place and your will find many bad reviews, judge for yourself.

Bootlegger's Bistro is an old school Italian restaurant and lounge a few miles south of Mandalay Bay in a fairly modern building in a strip mall. The food is very good, the lounge is excellent with traditional lounge acts. On Monday nights there is an open mike for talented armatures and off duty professionals from the Strip including big name singers sitting in for a set. The local regular customers look a bit like Soprano's cast members. They have a good website with lounge act schedules. The joint is worth the drive and it is one of my regular stops.

Peppermill is a Vegas must see. I've only been there once years back, but it's definitely one to visit. As was stated above, the Bootlegger is old school Italian with a decent menu and prices. I used to stop in for happy hour when I stayed at Silverton a lot. Very comfortable and don't worry about bring your chrome or glass cleaner as you won't need it. I've never been there for late night entertainment, but will try one of these days. From what i've read, it's not uncommon to have big name stars stopping by to sit in for a song or two.

Good Luck!
