breakfast bufet at golden nugget

ate there 2 years ago and thought it was bad. did it get better?

It still is bad. I mean breakfast is hard to screw with but the GN has done this perfectly. I wonder if they ever discountinu the BOGOF in their coupon book what would happen. In fact of the three Breakfast--Lunch--and Dinner the I give the edge to lunch. Even some of the help will agree with the rankings. GN use to have a really decent buffet for dinner when it was downstairs. I cannot believe that Landry's being in the resturant business let's this happen. They have really doen a great job in the remodeling department but in the buffet it is thumbs down. One other place they really need to improve is the check-in procedure. I don't care the time of day or the day of the week you will only see 2 or 3 people max at the desk. Every so often there will be a Supervisor walk behind the 2 or 3 people like this is going to solve the problem. Don't think so!!!!!!!!!

It is not high on our list to eat at. You can find much better DT.

GN buffet problems did not happen over night. They were there since day one. Have talked to several people and all have the same opinion not that good. You would think just maybe they consider taking a survey on rating it. I'm sure they would make changes. as long as they hav ethe BOGOF coupon it will go as normal NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT. Next time in just ask the server what is their take on the buffet. The ones I have ask all have the same answer how can you go from a pretty decent buffet downstairs to what they offer upstairs???????

Lunch was OK there in my opinion. They have great coffee that they allegedly buy in liquid form already the server told me so I hope it is coffee. Anyway that is what I remember about it.
