Caesars bets $17 million on the Strip's biggest buffet

Have always like the Bellagio, usually do one "special" buffet and that is it. Will be in town in October so looking forward to early reviews and a chance to sample it ourselves.
I loves the Buffets, but I will also wait until the reviews are in, Caesers has a long history, paris, rio, ph, ect, of ruining great buffets.
I am wondering if the largest buffet will also have the largest line. I am not into lining up for an hour before being herded in.

Are you claiming 'size doesn't matter'?

Will Caesars still be on the BOB list (buffet of Buffets)?
Where on this forum will I find the reviews of Buffets (Maybe from Westie?)?

The Rio and Main Street Station make the top 5? Really?
Sorry, USA Today, you fumbled that one big time.

USA Today did not do the rankings. Clearly the article says right up front that it was reporting the rankings from the smartdestinations.com blog.

I think MANY people here would place the Rio in the top 5, including myself. The article quotes the blog that the MSS buffet was placed there in part due to the $11 price for dinner, and the lack of lines. That price is about ONE THIRD of most of the other buffets. Obviously, price was a factor in the rankings, as it should be. I think it would be quite helpful to many people to learn of this decent quality value buffet, especially when is is not uncommon to see hour long waits at popular dinner buffets.
MSS is nowhere near best buffet - but is is certainly best value.
Ok - here's the deal - went to the new Caesars Bacchanal buffet on Saturday - 10/13 - bad idea!!!! We did get to skip the huge line with the Diamond card but just got into a long merged line that was manged terribly. Once inside - the seating was uncomfortable and frankly the light colors on the seats won't last and imho will have to be remodeled soon. The line for the seafood was 30 minutes long and blocked some of the other lines(and the exit) which was disappointing because the split crab legs were beautiful and tasty when steamed - the drawn butter ran out by the time my friend got to the front of the line - so I shared a few crab legs with her with no butter - never could get the gumption to get back in the line for more...the rest of the buffet was in the back room where the food was merely ok looking and nothing to write home about. Maybe I was tired - maybe not in the mood for the crowd but I really expected more for the $$$. Oh and the music was weird, loud and anoying - just wanted to sit back and enjoy and really felt "nervous" eating the whole meal. Won't go back for a long time - if ever......well maybe after the remodel. As a contrast - we had the Sterling Buffet on Sunday and it was just perfect - nice - calm - enjoyable - didn't mind the 2 hours spent on that one!
Mind you this thread was started in August, and alot has changed since highprofilepaints
ate there 8/13.

Fflowers & I ate there 2 weeks ago (were talking Oct.) and it was nice, albeit VERY busy.

I would Only go with Diamond card. Other line was wayyyyyyyy too long to wait.
Those people are nutso.

Once inside our table was fine. Didn't notice music too loud, in fact just the opposite.

Only gripe, our Server was harried and didn't bring comp. Mimosas until meals almost over.

Red velvet pancakes.........Must have again.

Fresh carrot or cucumbers juices, which were interesting.

Just so darn much food to choose from. You won't leave hungry thats for sure.

We liked it, and would do it again as long as our CE comp dollars hold out! lol
