Center Cut steakhouse

4 of us had an early dinner at Center Cut steakhouse at the Flamingo on a Wednesday night. It is located where the burger joint used to be, a small, windowless, atmosphere/decor starved space.

Two of us ordered the Waygu beef ribeye and really liked it. I had the Filet Mignon with Bearnaise sauce and the fourth member of our party had salmon. Everything a la carte, cooked as ordered, service was great.

Would we go back? No. Booth was cramped for 4 adults. They actually wanted to seat us at a horrible table right at the entrance even though the place was empty. We refused. As mentioned above, there is no ambiance. The manager asked our opinion and we gave it unsparingly.

For this price there are lots better places to eat. 2 bottles of wine brought the check to approx. $75 each without tip.

Glad we tried it once though.
Jeannine, thank you and Sam for taking one for the team.
Any time Terry!!!

No champagne either!

Oh boy, I thought I taught you kids better than that! Lol

Next time: Craftsteak. We'll demo it next time we're in town. I think Sam will give it the thumbs up. And yes, they do have Champagne and a decent (understatement) wine list.

Dan

Second Craftsteak. Had an amazing time there with slowpoke on a previous visit. They even waived the corkage fee on a bottle we had brought to share.

The food really was excellent, BUT the atmosphere was a Black hole.

Craftsteak would be wonderful if they took CET comps. Maybe
we need to start cultivating MGM properties instead!!!

In any case we did have fun, kind of cozy in a booth big enough for 2.

The rest of the evening was fabulous!!!

With Paul, Judy, Sam and Jeannine, I hope the server was from Cape Cod so he/she could get your order straight. Or did you bring an interpreter with your group?
OWWWW!

You scared Judy speechless.

I will start saving my pennies for Craftsteak. Thanks Dan for coming to the rescue!
